ok I understand what you’re saying about maybe people didn’t truly want their Amethyst curlie, but I assure you, I definitely do want one, and I doubt somebody will trade me, so if they don’t, at least I have the amethyst curlie to comfort me in the meantime. I also still want to get one for my aunt for her birthday, so I do want more. squeek*
I disagree that deciding to trade the amethyst curlie is the wrong thing to do–and I have a trade offer for mine right now. It is like collecting sportscards, when I used to go into a sportcard shop, because I had opened up a pack, and got a card that was “hot” at the moment, they would be all over it, and be willing to trade me for something that was of equal value, but was an older mint card, but in the long run, it was a better investment for me. I also knew that later, that card I traded them would not be so “hot”, and if I really wanted it later, I could pick it up for a song. I collect for long term, the seller is looking for what they can sell the fastest. Nothing is “hotter” than the amethyst curlie now, I know there is another batch coming along, and yes, I do have time to look at the store to watch for when they come out again, so I guess It’s not the most important thing in the world that I have one from the FIRST batch–it’s not like they’re signed or anything. So I am looking for a curlie that may not be made for a long time again, if ever, and I don’t want to pay inflated prices for it, if it ends up on Ebay. That’s my opinion.
I think my title says it all…i will trade my amethyst curlie for somebody that has a Blue Pearl Curlie with Blue Eyes. I did put in an offer on one, but never heard back afterwards, so I am still looking… squeek*
***Update***Or I would trade for a Poad, except the Peacock one, since they are still available in the store, if you are interested. squeek*I am looking to have a picture on my signature of my burgundy/gold OW with some text on the picture, and I cannot even post pictures at all on the forum as it is. The OW is already pictured in the ebay sales gallery on the home page under Olimpia’s painted pieces, and there are a lot of you that have these, with the text on it, so if you could pm me, or if an administrator would be able to do it on my profile page, that would be wonderful, very much appreciated! squeek* 😀
I want a purple OW and a purple Oriental Sun Dragon. With orange eyes. But, I think that green eyes are not in enough of the sculptures, and would like to see them on something. I don’t think I have seen them on any Production piece except possibly the Poads. I just got the Green/Gold Nettuce Poad and those green eyes are spectacular. Of course, I didn’t get a Pink curlie, so I don’t know what the green eyes look like on it. I know the Pink Lap has lavender eyes. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing a limited production of green-eyed Emerald dragons–the red eyes always bugged me. If they made a green-eyed Emerald Oriental Sun, I would love that. squeek*

Ok this is a true story, I am not making this up, but last summer was when I started selling things on Ebay for the first time, and although I have a good track record with 100% feedback, I really wanted to get myself established as a good seller also. Besides, your DSR’s (detailed seller ratings) will not show until you have had 10 feedbacks received from buyers. Well, there was one buyer that I sold a Dolce and Gabbana gold cell phone charm to, and I think she had maybe 5 feedbacks on her. I had left feedback for her, but got none back, and I knew she must have received it, so I emailed her, and asked her if she received it, and if so, could she leave me some feedback on it.
She emailed me back saying “it’s darling–I bought it for my friend who has the initials of D and G”
And then she left me NO feedback on Ebay! XD Apparantly, she thoght I was asking her for feedback–to me!! XD XD XDNO, you should absolutely not reply to the email. You did forward it to the spoof team at Ebay right? They will probably be likely to find the IP address of where it came from, and disable it from there and try to shut them down. It may take awhile, but if you do any answering back, you WILL get spam and more phishing emails. I recently dodged a bullet, when I listed a laptop on Craigslist. Somebody wanted me to accept a Paypal payment, which was fine with me, but then the next email was from “Paypal” saying I had money in my account, pending my shipment of the laptop——to Nigeria!!! 👿 I called Paypal and they said I had no money in my account, pending or otherwise, and so I didn’t click on anything in the email, fortunately, I just forwarded it to their spoof team, and I still kept getting more emails from “Paypal” about why the payment was secure, and forwarded them on. After being forwarded, I had been instructed to delete them from my computer. What was really scary, was they started sending phishing “Paypal” emails to an email address I have not linked to Paypal at all, so I knew that was a scam. It took me 2-3 months for all that to stop. I never put my email address on Craigslist anymore, if they can’t call me on the phone, and deal with me locally, with cash, forget it. 👿
Never mind, 6:10 p.m. Pacific Time, the curlies just sold out of the store. Hope they come out with another batch pretty soon. I guess some of this batch is still going through quality control, according to one thread I saw. I was saying on another thread that I actually hope they limit the next batch to 2 per person, because I would like to see them be able to go back to being able to put out some more silver, lavender, pink and blue curlies that some of us were never able to get before. squeek*
my opinion? Go for the sure thing–especially if the other seller might get a better offer. Especially if you could technically afford both–one only left in the store right now. :shout:
I was wondering also…I sent in a pm on one of the curlies and never got an answer, so I assumed it was sold to somebody else…but there was something in this thread about this seller going out of town until the 28th–maybe they will update and sell everything after that. 😕
I did–thanks for starting this thread…I am dying to see if CherokeeDR gets one, because I could not get one for them…only 9 left in the store and it is 4:20 Pacific Time. :shout: Update–Update–Update–
