Yes, if you are doing this with a TRUSTED person like a friend or family member or somebody you trust on the forum, then it is a good idea to do it “fee-free”. However, if you are a little uncomfortable, and want the transaction to be “buyer-protected” by Paypal, then you should do it as a “business purchase” so that you could file a Paypal claim if you had to, but with most of the forum members, I doubt that is something that we have to worry about, anyway. Of course, through Ebay, there is no way out of the fees, that I know of, and you probably would not want to get out of them, in case you are dealing with somebody unknown. 8)
I discovered a couple of weeks ago how to send money without incurring Paypal fees for the sender or the recipient, which could come in handy when buying or selling items through the forum. I purchased a couple of Windstones from forum members, and what I did was went to Paypal, and clicked on “SEND MONEY”, then there is a tab that is automatically defaulted for business reasons, but you can click on the “PERSONAL” tab, and then select from a group of reasons for sending payment. I selected “PAYMENT OWED” as the most appropriate reason, but it doesn’t matter what you select for reason, and then in the subject line, I put “PAYMENT OWED FOR_____________________(item I purchased)”. Then in the message area, I put my name and shipping address. No fees! Maybe most of you already know this, but I thought I would pass this on, in case there were some who didn’t know it, and this information would be useful. 😀
that only works on children’s teeth–and you can only trick them once, LOL! XD
No, just kidding, but on my son’s first loose tooth, when it was just hanging by a thread, pretty much, I got him to finally let me tie a thread around it, and then said I was just “testing it” and then I just pulled both ends of the thread straight out FAST–and the tooth was out, and right in the knot of the thread–my son did not even see it coming. He was pretty relieved it was over, looking forward to the tooth fairy money, etc. but he never let me near him when he had a loose tooth again either, LOL! XD XD
But there is a Silver Bengal as June Raffle prize, right? Maybe I will win that instead! XD XD

I’ve been thinking about trying it–but I know it would be a waste of paint–and dragon abuse! :shout:
trust me you don’t want me to paint something for you–I have no artistic talent whatsoever–i would be getting the better deal 😆 😆 😆
I didn’t see that I wasn’t ‘sposed to pm you, Jennifer–just disregard, please. Sorry, didn’t read thru your first posting well enough 😳
Jennifer, I pm’d you, but then I read back that I need to post on this thread, so put my name in the hat for the RF trade–I pm’d you, Frozendragon, I will take you up on your kind offer if Jennifer draws my name out of the hat!!! squeek* squeek*
I cannot tell a lie…it’s going to me! 🙄
I would like to try the “paper clip” trade that Laurie started with an Amethyst Fledgie on another thread…so I have an a green curlie, painted in the old green color, mint, with box and tag that I would like to trade up, and see what I end up with. As with the other trade, please post trade ideas on this thread, others please post if you like the trades or not, because whatever I choose will probably be next week’s trade item, unless I get something that I have really want, or I don’t get a trade afterwards. Anyway, let’s see how this goes…. 😀 8) 😀
I think it paid off for you NOT to get one of the first ones, Wolfen–I love the orange eyes on this one, and I think the first ones had the dichroic eyes, didn’t they? 😀
How long ago did you find the kitty? It could be the owner’s are on vacation, and the “house/cat-sitter” let her out. I hear about that a lot, and the owners aren’t told until they return from vacation.
