      This makes me soo sad. I live 30 mins away and go to this zoo all the time.

        That’s really a tragedy 🙁 If we as people are going to force wild animals to live in captivity we have a responsibility to take care of them and make sure this kind of thing doesn’t happen.

          Very sad, but from the article, without being there, it’s really hard to tell what measures were in fact taken to help save them (could the Bison be moved, etc.). Seeing the flooding that hit the Catskills and around me and knowing that it just happened down there, it can happen fast. It can creep for a while and give a false sense of security and then, WHAM, rise drastically in minutes. This flooding has just been a disaster all around. Thankfully, we finally all get to dry out for the next week I think.
