WSC said she liked green and purple and black, with silver, so I tried to incorporate all the colors. It reminds me a bit of fluorite (a green and purple stone), so I guess I tried to be true to that a bit. I blended the silver of the beak into the green feathers on the head, making the green darker as I went. Then when I did the wings, I started with the darkest color on top and used lighter purple as I went so the longest feathers on the bottom are the lightest. Then the cat’s body I painted the darkest purple color and dry brushed it with black. Then I silver leafed the claws on the hands and feet (with the pen-type paint). I did a black wash on the beak and hands, edged the feathers with darker greens and purples, and sealed it with a glossy sealer. Then added the swarovski crystal in the tail.
It was actually hard to send him on. I fell in love with him while I painted. But it was for WSC, so I knew he’d be getting a good home. 😀
I may have to do something like it for me though. 🙂 I have a blank dragon that I might do those colors on. He has green eyes and a purple stone, so I’ll see what I come up with.

Do you think we could get a list of the people who have sent and received their swap piece already? Not the whole list of swapees, just those sent and received already.
Or do we need to wait till after the swap finishes to do that?I went through and collected the names of those who have received their pieces so far and who painted them. I forgot to look and see who has mailed and not been received. So far there are 12 PYOs revealed:

I know how you felt Emerald. I had a hard time sending Sunny, but I thought he was my best piece so far…I knew Spark would give him a good home, but it is hard to let them go. But you know, I have shown him to everyone I could so far. “This is my swap I got. Isn’t he awesome?” Dave loves him too. My boss’s old lady didn’t know what to say. She said. “They come in purple and green?!” It was quite amusing. I think I scared her when I told her I got a crystal ball too. 😈 😆 😈 😆

That’s probably a lot better than the list I threw together real fast. I’m one that if I get curious I’ll go diggina dn when Kujacker asked for a list I went and made it because I wanted to know as well.
Hey, just a question… when I signed up for the 1st swap, I thought it would be something like I paint for Frozen, Frozen paints for Star, Star paints for Lokie… like that, but I painted for Lokie and Lokie painted for me. Was it a trade? Or was that just cooincidence? How is this one? I painted for Siber, is Siber painting for me? Or did someone else get me? Just curious.
