I’d prefer not to send money until I know that someone has a piece for me. However, once I know that they do have it, I plan to pay right away. As far as references, I can give several from Forum members that I’ve delt with and you can check out my ebay feedback (tor94). Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. 😀

My ebay SN is the same as my SN for the forum – kitsunelady. The only thing I’ve bought lately is a Dark Peacock Oriental, though. XD He was worth every penny, too. >.> *pets her beloved Oriental collection* Preeeeeciiiiouussssssss.

My complete shopping list includes A complete set of Rainbows, 2 complete sets of Silvers, 1 extra Rainbow empress and 1 extra Silver Emperor These are for me, Kitsunelady and WolfenMachine.

Hey, I’m not greedy. I have no intention of ever selling any of my Windstones. They’re not something I bought in the hopes of profiting off them in the future – I bought them because they’re beautiful works of art. I just don’t think it’s fair that those of us who have to work during the day don’t get a chance at all because we aren’t home on the computer. The only opportunity I’d have would be buying one for an exorbitant amount off ebay, without someone helping me. = That isn’t right – how would you like it if that was YOUR only choice? Personally, I’d prefer if they had a preorder system, but I assume that isn’t feasible. The emails from Susie would never help me, either, because like I said, I’m not home playing on my computer all day, waiting for them!
I’m also pretty sure the likelihood of any of us being able to AFFORD (credit cards or not) to buy “most of them” is slim to none. It’s the businesses who resell them on ebay (and elsewhere) that have that kind of buying power, not a passel of collectors.
I realize that keschete chose her words without much care, but I think what she was trying to do was allow the people who can’t be home all day a chance at the new releases, too. There’s nothing wrong with that, and I’m kind of offended by your assuming that all of us are doing this out of greed. I’m not saying I don’t see your point, but I can definitely tell you don’t see mine.

Uhhh.. I see your point. I am in a different time zone all together. Many times I am asleep when things come out. You and some others may have pure motives, but that is NOT what Keschete was inviting: “I am willing to set up a network that will cut out the greedy ebay resellers.”. What this is boiling down to is a large buddy system… aka a clique. You guys may be gathering together to get what you want, or to thwart the big bad ebay sellers who also frequent this forum, by the way, and could be easily offended by this attitude and name calling, but you are also gonna screw most everyone else on this forum. But hey, if you guys are comfotable doing that, you will always have each other.
Clearly, you did not read my suggestion to avoid “screwing”, as you so elegantly put it, everyone else, in the thread for people hoping to get any new curl colors. This is NOT a clique. It is a list of people who want the hatchers, but do not, for whatever reason, feel they will be around watching for them. Whether or not they find someone to buy a set for them is not the thread’s business. That’s the business of the people who have the time to be online to do so.
I personally have no problem with the people who buy to resell on ebay. It’s business. I really don’t believe that keschete thought that would ever actually happen, either. Like I said, none of us could AFFORD to make that happen, so what is the problem here? There are only five or six people asking for the Rainbow Hatchers! One person, buying ONE set of hatchers for the person they’ve partnered up with is no different from that same person buying a set (or two, if they like to buy extra to resell – again, a plan I have no problem with) for themselves! It’s not like any of us are guaranteed to get them, thereby screwing the rest of the forum over. There’s no guarantee the people on that list will even find someone willing to help them! The chance of the rest of the forum being affected by the small amount of people wanting the hatchers, that have posted in this thread, is not high, so I really think this subject should be dropped. This is not the place for it, and I don’t really like you trying to make the people who have asked for help feel bad about doing so. That’s kind of mean and petty of you. If you want to continue this ridiculous squabble, do it in PM with whichever of us offends your sensibilities the most. That way, the thread is left to its original purpose.
This idea is not condemned by Windstone, and keschete had already been reprimanded for saying what she did – so your 2 cents were not needed. I can only assume that you are worried you won’t get what you want, and therefore felt the need to snipe at the most available reason(s) – us.

In the end- buying many items to help other members, or buying many items to resell- both are allowed as it is a free market. I understand and can appreciate the motives of both. At the end of the day the only difference in the two are the end motive- as I’ve said before: one person buys to help get the piece into the hands of a collector. One person buys to resell the item and it ends up in the hands of a collector.
You may disagree with either side and the finer points of each side have been discussed. The demand for most of the Limited stuff is always going to be higher than the supply. There will always be someone, unfortunately, that misses out (due to timing or perhaps not enough funds). I understand this is very depressing sometimes. Trust me- I can’t afford these guys either. 🙂 But at least they are merely a collectible figure (albeit a very beautiful piece of art) and not something such as your groceries! 🙂
Neither practice is more or less fair as there will be those that miss out either way- so at this point I’m going to ask everyone to stop pointing fingers at either ‘side’ and saying “not fair!” They are equally unfair. They are equally fair. Both practices will likely continue- the only way they would not is if Windstone could make enough for every collector to get one, no matter what. And you guys don’t want that! I know it sound silly, but if the market gets flooded with these, their value will go way down. Some of you don’t care about value, I do understand that… you just want the piece. But Windstone has to look out for the value of its pieces. Here’s an example. If gold was suddenly available to all individuals at a reasonable price and in large quantities, those that had in the past paid high prices to invest in gold suddenly lost all of their investment value. Windstones are collectible art pieces, not Pokemon! 😉
If you have an issue with an individual, you are welcome to discuss it, but the moment it becomes a venomous confrontation, it needs to be moved to a Private Message, Email, or Instant Messenger chat. Honestly, I don’t want to be a mother hen, but outright squabbling is not a desired part of our forum- we want this to be open and friendly lest we ward off new collectors.

Be careful what you assume. I actually have a completely empty credit card with a high limit on it, so if I wanted I could do something like buy all of one type (if not all three depending on the quantities) of the Royal Hatchers, but I won’t for three reasons:
1.) Because my husband would kill me for maxing out the credit card on something like this even if I made money back on each one that I resold.
2.) I don’t care for the royal hatchers so I leave them for those I know want them, even if I could resell them here on the forum (or ebay) and make some extra money.
3.) As purplecat said if someone misses out this time, there will likely be more later as Windstone is pretty good at telling us if something is the last batch or not. And they are just a thing and things should never be more important than people or their fellings.
