My whine… I’m really missing E. He decided to stay in Idaho with his dad and S and I are in Utah. Have to finish closing up the apartment and moving everything and going to Idaho makes me sick to my stomach. I’m afraid that E will be negatively influenced by his dad and that I won’t see him again. He hides from me out in the back fields or up trees when he knows I’m coming. He’s told me he can see me and hear me calling from where he hides but he refuses to come out until after I’ve left.

He needs time, Becky, that’s all… Hugs!

I went to a Halloween party tonight and I could barely squeeze into my ten faire corset (not in a good wat at least). Now what am I going to do for a costume for work on Thursday and the ball on Friday?
If you’re good with a needle (which I’m so not), you could adjust it…
If all fails, go as a pirate or a zombie 🙂

I have a tiny whine:
I ordered the Windstone of my dreams a few days ago. The tracking number says:
Scheduled delivery day: October 30
October 30 location: Oregon (very far west of me, I live in western PA)
October 31 location: New Jersey (it passed me and went to the state to the east of me!)
It's getting chilly sitting here by my mailbox :bigsmile:Uh Oh! Sounds like the shipper is giving you a Halloween Trick! Hope you get your package soon…
I work in Washington DC and have had the tracking all over the place like this before for some deliveries coming to me for work, but not for Windstones. Sometimes I wonder …

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comOctober 31, 2013 at 7:03 pm #904821Spent the last four days in the hospital. Internal bleeding. Got 2 units of plasma, 2 units of blood and scoped from both ends. No fun. They stopped the bleeding but never found out for sure what was bleeding. They do believe the blood thinner I was on caused it, so I’m off that now. Hated taking it anyway. It’s the second time it’s put me in the hospital. The good thing is, they found and removed two polyps, and one of them was pre-cancerous. I guess finding those was worth it.
Hey, I’m glad you found a positive side! Healing hugs your way 🙂

Wow the typos! LOL! No way to adjust the corset, but I did find an Indian costume I had forgotten about that still fit, and will do something sugar skull related for the ball…at least with that it’s mostly normal garb, and makeup.

Thankies Sarah, I hope so. At least he and S are staying in touch with each other. They each other 4 – 5 times a week.

November 3, 2013 at 4:32 am #904908This is completely absurd, but I guess that’s what the whine thread is for, right?
I am currently kind of frustrated by the way economics works. Not like… frustrated because I don’t understand it, I DO understand it, but the way it works is just aggravating. Supply and demand and scale and all that. Especially scale lately. I am sitting here realizing I am actually charging more than some PYO Windstones for what is basically a PYO product of my own, and that’s stupid, but I can’t charge less and make any money! Not unless I could somehow sell hundreds of them, but I can’t. 😛
November 5, 2013 at 11:00 pm #904980It’s not “I can’t sell hundreds” it’s “I haven’t sold hundreds yet…”
But I hear you! It’s frustrating to pour so much of yourself into a project and not get the recognition/financial rewards that you deserve is very hard. You are obviously a fine artist and your ball-dolls (?) are adorable. If you think about it, tho, most artists don’t get the rewards they should for their level of excellence…the rest of us non-talented people just don’t have the resources to support you as you deserve. So hang in there (and maybe get some marketing advice?)- we love your work! :love:November 11, 2013 at 10:43 pm #905176Why?!? WHY?!?
Why is it that just when you are starting to think that your life is turning around, that you’re actually going to start getting ahead of things does life up and hit you with that *Surprise*???I thought things were settling down, got my contract figured out (am employed until at least end of Aug next year), had some munies saved up to put towards my student loans, maybe even get a pretty and some other stuffs and BAM! Life hands me a multiple thousand dollar bill for something that I have to deal with now (wil be worse if I don’t deal with it). This means that it’s looking like no new winter coat and boots like I was hoping and definitely no windstones for awhile *headdesk*
November 17, 2013 at 1:18 am #905298My husband thinks the water pump went out in my car today. We won’t know until it gets towed to the shop on Monday. 🙁
November 27, 2013 at 5:01 am #905658Just need to whine. The dry air combined with a need to frequently wash my hands is causing me excessively dry skin on the backs of my hands. It’s so bad, that it’s either cracking and bleeding in places (my knuckles look like I went 12 rounds with a wall), or looks like I kept burning my hand against a hot iron in others. It hurts so bad all the time! Moisturizing and Vitamin E soaps have only provided minimal relief. The nurses at my work highly recommended two skin care products, however, they both contain petroleum or other refined oil based ingredients. Which I’m trying to avoid, so I’m using them sparingly. And night is the only time I can use these products as they get washed off in the frequent hand washing. I think I’m going to buy coconut oil tomorrow and maybe soak gloves in it and wear them every night lol Maybe this will become a Heck Yeah soon enough =)

I have similar issues sometimes. Have you tried “o’keeffe’s working hands” cream? It’s great and available at CVS, Walmart, most RX’s. Here’s a link to their site: http://okeeffescompany.com/index.php?page=working-hands&gclid=COSb5rTzhLsCFYtQOgodLQMAUg

His name was Teddy and I was in middle school when we got him. He lived to a nice age I guess- he was 14 (or 13?). And I’m really glad I just made a visit to CA & my family so I got to see him again shortly before he passed. It still sucks.
