Not only does work suck sometimes, life does too >.< My car is now officially a giant rock. I'm trying to not freak out but I think I'm going to gain back the 10 pounds I just lost through stress eating over this situation 🙁
September 14, 2011 at 5:51 am #856467I hate being a part time ‘float’ CNA. I’m supposed to have 3 days a week at the nursing home, but they have put me on for 4 days a week for the last 3 months so I work 6 days a week with my other job. And because I’m a part timer I have to float to all 5 units on someones whim. I got moved to the floor I hate/loath/despise today-thank the Lord someone switched with me. I’m not a spontaneous person, I want to work the same area day in and day out, not be shoved off where I don’t know any of the residents or routines. Only worked here 6 months and this job is already crushing me.
September 14, 2011 at 5:12 pm #856500That’s awful for you Eleu! HUGE hugs to you ’cause I most def know where you’re coming from

September 16, 2011 at 1:21 am #856674Crashed my car on the way to work. No one hurt (ok, couple of bruises, and I did go to the chiropractor for good measure, since I seem to throw things out of place just on a thought, especially because I sleep funny… man, my neck never felt as good as it has in the last 2 months now!). Stop and go rush hour traffic that backs up for miles. Everyone in front of me started to move, so I started to move. As I started to move, the guy ahead of me had to slam his breaks at the same time, so no time to react to stop enough. Car is likely not totaled, but this is a huge pain, since I only had 4 more days of commuting 2 hours a day before starting a new job telecommuting from home. Training starts out in MA though. Radiator is cracked and leaking, so it’s not drivable, but the frame appears to be fine. Other car was drivable. Not sure if my car will be back by the time I need to drive to MA. The trooper and the driver ahead of me that I rear-ended were super nice and no tickets were issued (the trooper didn’t even ticket me for the slightly overdue inspection that I didn’t realize was overdue). To be fair, there is at least 1 accident daily on that road during rush hour, it’s that congested. So much for the clean driving record.
Day began with me dropping a remote that was in the comforter I slept under last night (one of those really nice heavy, universal ones) edgewise down on the knuckle of one of my little toes. I walk to the post office when I get home, since they should be open and I’m home for once to go there. Closed for their 90 minute siesta. Walk back later to drop off mail. Proceed to Chinese restaurant a few blocks away (my village is pretty small), only to have umbrella that is keeping me dry decide to break. Finagle umbrella for rest of walk home from procuring lunch for myself and my mom. Walk to front door. It’s locked (no key, parents are inside somewhere). Walk around to the side gate. It won’t open no matter how hard I pull. I’m later informed that my dad added a deadbolt over the weekend and forgot to tell me. Walk around through my neighbor’s yard around to the back gate to the unlocked back door I left out of to eat my lunch. Dad drives me to the chiropractor. Who forgot their checkbook? Yup. Me. Wallet was left at home because I wasn’t driving, so it was not deemed necessary. (Dad covered it and I paid him when I got home).
Dogs were at least extra snuggly and not too demanding today.
Just whining because this is just something I really didn’t need to deal with right now. Today has been a complete ‘Murphy’ day (ala Murphy’s Law), and all I can say is, if I ever find ‘Murphy’, I want to pound him one. -_-;
Time to go hide under the covers for the night.
September 16, 2011 at 1:01 pm #856712What a horrid day, siberakh1! 🙁 Hope things turn around for you.
September 16, 2011 at 1:09 pm #856714That was one really bad day . Hope things get better .
September 16, 2011 at 6:08 pm #856743Ugh! What a crap day siberia. Sounds like you should have just stayed in bed! x.x
Well, hopefully things will work out well when you come out to MA and we can have some fun ^_^
My whine for the day is I was all excited when they offered for me to leave early today. It’s sooooo nice out. Probably one of the last really nice days we’re going to have… then the night shift called out and NOW I have to close and stay ALL NIGHT instead. x.x WAH!

I’m so sorry to hear that Eleu. I had a miniature schnauzer when I was little named Otto. They are great little dogs!
Just know that Abby is waiting for you on “Rainbow Bridge”. <3
