Auuuggghh ‘first world problems’ type whine.
I just ran out of hard-drive space on my computer for the first time in my life. I make a lot of digital art, too. I don’t know what to do!! AUGHGHGHGH.
Don’t buy a Segate Storage Back Up Hard Drive. HUGE waste of money!!!!!
Huh, I’ve had a Seagate back up drive for years now, and it works great. It was also a lifesaver when my 4 year old HP laptop crashed.
To be honest, I would recommend looking into backing everything up onto an external hard drive, then look into getting your computer a larger hard drive. I don’t think I can come close to filling up the one I have now.
I have a backup, and I’ll get a larger hard drive… but I can’t afford one currently. I am not sure what to do till I can! What a mess.

I’m pretty paranoid about viruses, and I make sure to run all kinds of scans before I even consider connecting it to my computer. I really don’t want to lose what’s on it.

I’m tired of hearing about Grab Bag Unicorns . They are cute , but all the postings about them . I wish people would just keep it to one posting where the ones you want would under it . Everyones desire for grab bag unicorns under one thread then a dozen of them .
It’s just a bit nuts and it does push down other peoples threads .

Sadly, Melody intended them to be fun, happy things that brought people together by trading them, etc.

I love the grab bags because I don’t like the plain unicorn sculpts, but people are getting really angry about them… I’m not sure why…there have been lots of store items that I wanted that sold out before I could log on. I just posted that I wanted one or waited until I saw one on the flea market thread…That’s actually how I got most of my grab bag unis too, I bought them second hand. I’m still looking for the Siamese sitting griffin chick and Siamese momma griffin, Oh and the Wolf male griffin :), but I need a new master cylinder in the car before I get to spend hundreds of dollars on Windstones.
And a few weeks worth of work to make up for the half of August that I spent in Arkansas…not getting paid….I’m still working out the logistics of how my cousin gets a truck, and I have to pay (by not working and traveling) to go get it for my cousin, who has physical limitations). Somehow I think I got (insert bad word here) 😛 an no its not the one you’re thinking of. I loved that truck after I got it cleaned.

There is no “sadly” about it: They still do! Okay a few people are not so happy right now, but it’s simply impossible to make everyone happy all the time. I’m sure most of us are genuinely happy and looking forward to sharing pictures maybe trading or selling depending on the case.
In any case, I certainly am. I have two coming to me and they are my very first grab bags and I intend to enjoy the hell out of the whole deal. And if you look at the new baby thread Hannah started, you’ll see I’m not the only one! :bigsmile:
Well I do still think they are fun Jennifer… well, they were I guess. I think lots of members get fustraited when people take them too seriously. It sucks the fun right out of it. I know some people won’t even share photos because other members will PM the crap out of the person begging to buy it or trade it. Now apparently some people have even resorted to creating alternate accounts to obtain more then the per customer limit. Some members still haven’t been able to get any at all so I can see why a lot of people get mad. It’s not Melody’s fault at all. I actually feel bad for Melody that she has to listen to people whine and complain about it while she’s trying her best to fullfill everyone’s squeaks. People need to be a bit more greatful for what they have then upset over what they don’t and people with like 10 or 15 grab bags really need to step aside and give others a chance to enjoy the fun as well. This way, everyone is happy and Melody can focus on some of her other projects too.
I just hate it when people take a fun idea and twist it into something competitive and ruin it for everyone else. That’s what it seems like these are becoming and it’s too bad really. Melody meant for this to me fun for everyone and then people have to turn into a pack of rabid wolves.

It’s always the people who have 10 or 15 that buy a bunch more so people who never got any keep missing them. I’m starting to hate them myself, not because I don’t think they are adorable, but because how childish some forum members become wanting to rip eachother apart trying to get them like a bunch of fist fighting bargain hunters tearing clothes apart at a clearance table.
If Windstone was a store you would walk into and buy off the shelf they would need security to stop the riots. It’s like trying to buy a Furby or a ZhuZhu pet at Christmas *rolls eyes* I’m sure Melody must think she created a real monster here when she just wanted to be nice to her customers.

Then being pm by people who want the ones they want to keep . Dangerous to tell anyone which one you have and not for sale or trade . They will still ask you to sell it . And some offering more money then others .
They are so cute . And so sweet for Melody making them .
But it has become a monster . Sadly .I agree that it’s become a bit out of hand.
I too am tired of seeing multiple threads of people wanting to buy or trade, trying to out-bump each other on the Sell/Trade forums. I can’t even keep my sale thread on the first page and I’m not going to over-bump it and be rude.
Seems a little simpler to work together and post them in one thread, that way someone who wants to trade a piece can look through one thread instead of having to search them all out. Shoot, if I had a Uni from this batch to trade that’s what I would find easiest…
The limits on these were put in place right in the middle of April. I’d advise Windstone to see if there was a rash of new accounts created then. I don’t think there is an army of people out there cheating the limit system. A bad apple or two can ruin the fun for everyone.
And as much as I’d love to have two Unis from this beautiful crazy-colors batch, I have to admit that making the limit ONE PER ORDER will give more people a chance at purchasing one.
And I hope that those who have multiples, maybe consider selling versus just trading, and let someone who hasn’t gotten any in on the fun. 🙂 I know I will in the future, if I ever get another GB Baby.
And if you don’t want to sell your Uni, I hope you’ll still post pictures along with a mention of “I do not wish to sell/trade”, and simply delete PMs that you get from people who insist on saying “Oh, but surely that didn’t apply to me, because I want it so much.” No one would fault you for that and it irks me to see members go into hiding over this.
Remember…. it was supposed to be FUN!!!!!
I haven’t even tried for a grab bag yet. I can’t check my email or use my computer for personal things at work. Also, my phone is work issued and doesn’t even receive text. I wasn’t even about to get in the middle of this. There’s no way I was even going to try. In order for me to get one, it would have to be a MASSIVE batch with a limit of one. 😛
Good thing I’m a traditionalist and like my unis white. LOL.
(Yes, I could buy one from another forum member, but for me, the whole point of a grab bag is the surprise).
the people ruining it for the rest of us is making it no fun, why does someone think they need to have 4 or even more? I know some are two people that like them but I’m guessing a lot are just claiming that their husband likes them too when he doesn’t…it makes me feel like I don’t have a chance at all at even getting one….I was going to try to get two myself since this is my first time trying these out and since I love how this batch turned out but I doubt I’ll even get a chance to buy even one…
and to hear that people are still pming people who said they wanted to keep it? that’s just wrong…once I saw the person who got the blue one wanted to keep it, I removed it from my wanted picture right away and moved my focus to another uni…I wouldn’t even think of pming someone who said they wanted to keep it, who does that?
