Thanks everyone, just so you know if you don’t see me on much for the next few weeks it’s because I gone to my parents for our son’s third birthday Nov. 19 and for Thanksgiving. I’ll be heading to his parents house at the end of the week to wait for him to come home on leave.
Oh and as if making him miss our son’s birthday and the holidays wasn’t bad enough, the Army is delaying the announcment of December’s points needed for promotion by a week. If they hadn’t we would already know if he would be a SGT come Dec. 1. 👿 So not fair.
It’s hard to keep your mouth shut some times. My husband sent me an email earlier this week letting me know the promotion points for December had been announced. They were 538 and he has 575. So come Dec. 1, he’s not a SPC any more. I was able to tell my family (mom was next to me when I found the email). I haven’t told his family yet. They haven’t asked about it either. I figure they have been preoccupied and so forgot about it. I’ve talked with him and he asked that I wait until he comes home on leave to tell them. He also told me that his unit has said something about sending him back to the board in June/July to become a SSGT which would be even better for us.
Only a little longer until he’s home. I can’t wait.
