Is the vet sure that one of those teeth isn’t a baby tooth that was retained? One of those may have to eventually come out.
March 15, 2008 at 9:59 am #656894Oh, I’m quite sure it is a retained baby tooth. It’s not hurting him any though. If he does have any problems with it, we’ll get it removed. But my sister had two eye teeth for years, and it never hurt her any! She eventually got the baby one taken out for cosmetic reasons before starting high school. But there’s nothing about an extra tooth that’s harmful in and of itself.
March 15, 2008 at 1:33 pm #656895Wow that kitten looks messed up with his eye like that. Who would have thought that little polup could cause so much problems. Will his head straighten out now?
March 15, 2008 at 2:53 pm #656896Just don’t forget to keep those teeth clean. I’m sure the Vet told you. We have a cat that started losing teeth due to tartar build up and an infection. I felt so bad for not paying more attention. 😥 And I know better. My Dad was a Vet for 35 years. 🙄
Ron is such a beautiful boy. We had a cat that color. His name was snickers. I’d love another but my husband thinks five housecats is more than enough 😉 😆Orchid Fyre *Fyre Lily*SilverFyre *EmeraldFyre*Bred Pink*Grass*bred red
March 15, 2008 at 3:43 pm #656897I have 4 and I agree 100%!!
http://dragcave.ath.cx/user/36064March 15, 2008 at 4:27 pm #656898It is a bit harder when they are in the house. More shedding and litter to deal with. We used to have nine. They were indoor outdoor cats. Trained to come in at ten every night. We moved here and all our neighbors had several dogs, no cats and kids with pellet guns. After losing three ( two shot and one to the dogs) we made them all house cats. Our oldest lived to be 26.

March 15, 2008 at 4:53 pm #656900She was great A black and white cat named (of course) Sylvester. Never had one like her before or since. She only weighed about 8 pounds but was more protective of our kids growing up than any watch dog. She quite often turned into a little b and w tornado and attacked and chased dogs out of the yard. Not ours, just the neighbors 😆 That was before we moved to GA. With her I was more worried about the kids with bb or pellet guns.
March 15, 2008 at 7:19 pm #656901He is so beautiful…I’m glad he came through surgery well! 😀
March 15, 2008 at 11:11 pm #656902Ew to the polyp. But Ron is cute!!
March 15, 2008 at 11:15 pm #656903I’m glad the surgery went well. He’s such a pretty kitty.
March 20, 2008 at 8:32 am #656904Unfortunately something seems to have gone wrong. He’s not in any pain, or I’d be rushing to the emergency vet right this second, but we’re going to have to take him first thing tomorrow. 🙁 His surgery site seems to have re-opened, and has some kind of hernia, there’s tissue sort of bulging out of it. Not good.
And, er… I’m sort of broke, this vet visit is probably going to completely wipe me out. If any of you want to help, I could use a PYO commission. I have a couple of kirins, a wolf, a soft feather griffin, a small dragon, and even a large Keeper dragon that I’d be happy to paint up for somebody. I’m selling some stuff on ebay too, but I don’t know if it interests any of you, I’ve sold off all the Windstones I can possibly bear to part with already.
