Would dry-brushing and antiquing work together on the same sculpt? Since I’m supposed to be drybrushing, wouldn’t antiquing take away the base coat?

I was thinking of asking you what you were doing to see if I could tie it in a bit or something  Just a thought.

Or do you mean antiquing on the scales?

Alot of times I drybrush part and “antique” the rest. I think Kyrin is talking about the scale areas, not so much the mane and tail?

      Mainly just the scales.

Worry not, I don’t plan to get crazy, just want to do some blending to get the wings to fit in with the overall paint scheme.

Ok… the statement just really confused me, that’s all.

But then again, I get confused on an hourly basis sometimes…. 😆

Sorry to be out of touch for so long. Life has been a trial lately. The kirin is ready for the next leg of his/her journey. I only had a little bit to paint, but my eyes aren’t what they used to be. If someone wants to repaint the nose, they’re welcome to.

The Traveling Kirin is on his way. They don’t do the Conf # on internatioanl packages, but the guy said I could use the Customs Form #: CP526074772US. It includes Insurance up to $69.98, but I put the value at $25. I forgot what they sold for in the shop, so I guessed at the value.

I didn’t get to go anywhere, but I did take pics of the Kirin with my Wall-ee. I’ll post them as soon as I get them off the camera.

Will do! And thanks for valuing him at $25, Tintaglia. If you’d put in the insurance value I’d have had to pay customs.
