Way to go Mariah!
My daughter graduated high school today, cum laude on all A.P./Honors/ Dual Enrollment classes. It’s obvious who’s the brain in the family! In less than a month she’ll be gone, wants to start college with the summer term. We’re all very proud.
That’s so wonderful, pipsxlch! There’s nothing more valuable than an education <3 What will she be studying?

Ever since a class in 8th grade, she’s wanted to work in forensics. (I think that was the spur that made her go from ‘eh who cares?’ to ‘getting the best grades I can’) Her original goal was to get a degree in accounting as well as forensics (she doesn’t LIKE math, but she has a calculator in her head) and use that as a hook to get herself into the FBI or CIA. Now she plans on getting a BS in nursing and going into forensic nursing. I think her original plan was the better- she’s not a team player, nor particularly warm and caring- but as long as she keeps going and is happy in what she does, all’s good. I do hope she sticks with the forensics, she’s loved it so and her teacher seemed to think she has potential.
Those figures are lovely, Bodine! (and good memories) Are they a ‘type’ of figure or a specific artist? They remind me of ‘Mamasan’ and ‘Papasan’ that my cousin stationed in Okinawa sent my grandmother back in the late 70s- early 80s. I know one broke, think my mom got rid of the other.
The evil gallbladder is gone. Surgery went well, but it’s still pretty painful. Talk to all of ya later 😊

My dream home had everything but a pool but I had a beautiful, heated gunite pool custom built so it is a win-win!!

Warmest☀️ Hugs💗!!Bodine- I was at my brother in law’s home earlier today, and saw something he’d had packed away for years and just dug out. It was a statuette of an elderly Japanese couple sitting on a mudbank(?), he with a fish and she with a basket. I turned it over and it’s stickered Hakata. He got it when he was stationed in Okinawa around ’58- ’60. Thanks for educating me a little so that I could appreciate what I was looking at!
