On this cold and power-less day, a huge heck yeah: we got the generator to work in such a way that it can feed everything in the house (just not all at once) instead of powering only the furnace and a few lights.
It means that we now have running water, so we can flush the toilet. But the absolute luxury is that tonight, we’ll be able to take an actual shower!
Since the power went out really early Sunday morning, I’m really, really looking forward to hot water bliss… WOOHOO!
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

January 26, 2014 at 11:22 am #908070I just scored a black mother unicorn WITH BOX (yes, I’m overly excited about that) for $87!
January 28, 2014 at 3:21 am #908130I’m nearly done piecing my first quilt top ever and it’s about to hit the frames! I’ve been quilting for as long as I can remember but have never done anything really intricate. The interesting thing is that the window I’m working on at the art glass studio basically goes together in the same fashion. The biggest dfference of course is that one is held together with thread and the other is soldered together. The choosing of colors and cutting the pattern are very much the same. I’m having a fabulous time!

My instructors are extremely pleased with my prescise cutting and choice of colors… said it was very Victorian and really liked the movement through the colors and textures of the glass. It’s the first compliment I’ve had in an extremely long time and helped give a boost to my self confidence. Silly, I know, but still a great Heck Yeah!

January 31, 2014 at 8:31 pm #908288Today I am really tired, but I am having a totally awesome day!
I started a new, super easy relaxation therapy in the pool today to stretch my muscles a bit better and make the strain/ counterstrain easier on my body and less painful, the nurse will be here Monday to get stuff going with Mary as my temporary caretaker and a newsman from the Daily Bee, our local news paper is stopping by to Photograph me and my new snow dragon!
