I can’t believe there are any tiger dragons left unclaimed. Those guys are just so awesome… they remind me a bit of pythons. I don’t have any striped dragons yet, I’m so excited for mine to arrive!
I painted several extras, and some people said “just send me any one of them”, so those weren’t removed from the pic!
April 19, 2020 at 12:39 pm #1608834Sanity is overrated, and it doesn’t really apply to collectors.
No kidding! I just bought another Breyer horse and I don’t even have room to put him.
April 19, 2020 at 12:49 pm #1608835Since the Kickstarter is waaaaaaaaaaaay over goal, what does that mean for production?
It means Melody is going to be painting Bantams for the rest of the year 😝.
lol, that too. But if the point of getting the funds was to launch a new line I thought that meant 1. we buy special thing 2. after that the funds go to making bantam a “regular” mold. So if the goal for that was $5k then….all the extra will (one day, when Melody and Co. are recovered) be used to….launch more shinies?
Interesting question. Melody did say in one of the KS comments: “Did better than expected, but I didn’t expect much with everyone all stressed out! That is why I set a really low goal amount.”
So the actual cost of the whole process was might be significantly higher than 5k. The funds from this KS might be going to “pay back” time/money/resources Windstone already fronted in the Bantam making process, in addition to funding remaining details that need to be addressed before Bantams hit full production mode.
I set the goal really low to be sure we could sell the ones I had already painted, I was afraid that with all the stress about finding toilet paper and stuff, nobody would be buying dragons!
April 19, 2020 at 5:26 pm #1608839Ha Ha! We surprised you didn’t we?!?
It’s so Fantastic that you received over $97K in pledges for the Bantam Kickstarter, and only for a 15-day campaign at that! Just think – The Veligent Kickstarter, which was a full 30-day campaign, received $110,710 in pledges! Way to Go Bantams! WooHoo! ^_^IN SEARCH OF MY NEXT GRAILS:

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.April 19, 2020 at 6:31 pm #1608848Congratulations and thank you! So glad it ended up worth all the stress!
I got a phone call from the anti fraud department of my bank saying they were freezing my account on suspect activity. I had to sternly tell them that no, that payment request for $258 from Kickstarter was NOT fraudulent! That would be so sad, to have gotten my pick only to lose it because the bank didn’t like how I chose to spend my money!

I got one too, but it was a really easy fix on the KS side once the CC company allowed the charge. I was more worried about KS being buggy about rerunning the payment through, after all the mess with the messaging button.

April 20, 2020 at 5:06 am #1608850Yeah – I’m sure Banks and Credit Card companies are being very sensitive due to all the new COVID related scams cropping up!

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comApril 20, 2020 at 6:43 am #1608852My bank did that to me the first time I supported a kickstarter campaign. And the first time I made a purchase on Etsy.
They sent a text though asking if it was an approved purchase and all I had to do was reply YES to their text and the KS and Etsy charges were immediately approved.Since then I have had no problems getting KS campaign funds or Etsy purchases to go thru.
Hopefully it’s a one time thing for those of you having issues as well.Looking for:

April 20, 2020 at 3:54 pm #1608879This must be why some “backer reports” have scary-looking red exclamation points after them! These people haven’t clicked the “it’s OK” button yet.
April 20, 2020 at 4:47 pm #1608890I had to click two things (a series of two pages, one click each) in KS to rerun the charge, AFTER notifying the CC that it is a legitimate purchase and getting a response from CC that they will not deny the charge again. Hopefully people will follow the correct order to have it work successfully.

April 21, 2020 at 11:42 am #1608915I guess it must depend on the bank. The bank associated with the credit card I used never made any fuss, despite this being my first time participating in a Kickstarter campaign. It just appeared on my statements without any extra messages or anything. As such, I’ve already paid and am now happily waiting to receive my dragon in the coming months. 🙂 So excited to see how brilliant the colors are in person! 🙂
