Oh, I will be wanting one of these! Sooo pretty! Hoping for some dapple greys.

Can someone tell me why they are called “pebble” animals?

Just tried a quick guestimate, since they’re cougar sized, if they are similarly priced, with shipping, currency exchange and taxes they’d be about $415.00 CAD each. There’s no way I can justify that in my current financial situation.

I was so eager for these, I guess I’ll have to wait for a regular/limited production pony! 🙁

Oh my, are they ever lovely! I can see myself trying to get several of these in a variety a colours and patterns, depending on the cost. Finally, a grab bag that isn’t crazy fantasy! 🙂

I’m hoping they don’t go past $150, else I don’t think I’ll be able to swing it. I at least want to get one.

The original concept was small smooth animals that would feel like a pebble in your hand. They’ve gotten bigger and more complicated, but they’re still (mostly) smooth.

Okay, since it’s likely I won’t be able to afford the GB, I vote for jet black with brown eyes as the first regular production color!

Are those pebble horses our next GB?

Yes, but we have a problem, we can’t call them “pebble horses”!

Now what do we call them?

It started with the foxes and cats. They were supposed to be small, roundish, simple animal shapes that resembled pebbles, like the Maya Hill “Journey stones”.
I had intended to have them be white, and finished with buffed wax only, but they almost instantly started getting painted, so then they needed to be larger… and here we are, with a line of smooth, but not so pebble-like, animals.
Any ideas for a different name?

Some of the Windstone listings on etsy, including the pebble wolf, are listed as a totems. Who can say if Windstones have “spiritual significance”. Depends on the person. 😉

Hmm, your right. But they use the word pebble as the ‘scale’ of their smaller models, not so much the style and finish. I wish I could help with a new name tho, sadly I’m not that creative in that department lol.

Any ballpark on the release of these cuties? A couple weeks? Month? I know I need to at least get one!

Here’s a definition/description I found: “A pebble is a clast of rock with a particle size of 2 to 64 millimetres based on the Krumbein phi scale of sedimentology. Pebbles are generally considered larger than granules (2 to 4 millimetres diameter) and smaller than cobbles (64 to 256 millimetres diameter).”

Maybe since they are bigger than a ‘Pebble’ you call them ‘Cobble’ Horses? 🙂
