What I paint next will depend on what we have a good supply of.
Looking at the carts of stuff we have, I see we don’t have many baby unicorns right now. We do have LOTS and LOTS of poads, maybe enough young unicorns for a batch of 100 or so… lots of pebble things of various species, and a whole cart crammed full of … hmm, maybe these will work… haven’t done a grab bag edition of these things yet…I change my vote for the mystery sculpt!!!!!
Love baby kirins, safari poads, mini keepers, and anything BLUE, BLUE, and, oh yes, BLUE.

Oh, please say you’re talking about hoarder dragons! You probably aren’t, but I’m excited to hear about the possibility of a sculpt we haven’t seen painted as a grab bag edition before. 😀
GB vampire bats would be new and different. 😉
GB vampire bats would be AMAZING! I would also like young unis and poads.

Excellent!
November 10, 2015 at 12:17 am #936874I love poads myself but have had some listed for a while that no one will even trade for or buy so if people wanted poads I think they would be selling faster. The adult poads aren’t even selling for what people paid for them. Secondary market prices reflect demand so I think prices are a good indication of how popular an item is and if it will sell or not! I have been collecting items for 20 years and it is all about supply and demand. Even if there is a lot of supply of baby unicorns, if the demand is high, the prices will stay high and there will still be demand for more for those of us that haven’t had a chance to acquire many or those on here that are new and never got a chance to own one!
If I had money I would go for a young unicorn but that would require a couple more months of saving up so would love to see those maybe in a few months! I would also love to know what the mystery sculpt would be though! If it hasn’t been done as a grab bag before that would be awesome to get something new! If it was baby pegasi or griffin chicks I would love that or hoarder dragons! Also again out of all the pebbles, the one sculpt I would love to see again would be more tanukis in natural colours as I was only able to get one tanuki and like to have pairs of things!
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!

Not true with one of a kind pieces. In almost every batch, I see pieces that are highly popular and pieces that are not popular at all. I had a Colt up for sale/trade for almost a year from the day that I got it with no bites on it at all while other people’s colts were selling and trading like hotcakes. When it comes to one of a kind pieces, you simply cannot gauge the popularity of something by looking at a few pieces that you personally have for sale. It may just mean the pattern on them is not something others want.

You’re so right, Hannah. Secondary market is not a good indication of the direction a company should take with production. There are always a few odd pieces from every grab bag batch that either get snapped up as soon as they’re up for sale / trade or alternatively get left lingering on the shelf so to speak. I still have a tadpoad from two batches ago that I just couldn’t find a home for so I’ll probably give it to someone for Christmas.
Life is beautiful.

I don’t know very much about the “after market”!
What patterns and colors seem to be most popular? Which colors are unpopular?
Taste in patterns and colors seems to vary so widely!
If there is a pattern, color or theme that is consistently a wall flower, let me know and I will avoid painting more!November 10, 2015 at 10:49 pm #936921I love poads myself but have had some listed for a while that no one will even trade for or buy so if people wanted poads I think they would be selling faster. November 10, 2015 at 11:05 pm #936922Can someone help me?!? I was trying to buy two of the poads and it said I couldn’t use my moms card. She wanted to buy them for me and I told her that it said I couldn’t use her card, I swear I put the correct info! :~

Did you have the correct billing address – if it’s your mom’s card, make sure you use her billing address and your shipping address. If that’s not the issue, I’m not certain what it could be.

If there is a pattern, color or theme that is consistently a wall flower, let me know and I will avoid painting more!I’m most satisfied when I get one that has a lot of detail on it. I like the ones that look complex and really show off your artistic skill and attention to detail. I know stencils make things much easier for you, but I love when I get one that clearly didn’t use a stencil.
That’s what I like!
