It’s probably for the best to make it a PYO instead of a regular production piece, since all those details on the base, scales, etc would make it difficult to paint in even a simple color scheme. I’m sure all the talented PYO painters on the forum are licking their chops right now in anticipation. 🙂

Nah, this one isn’t good enough. I needed to change the horse’s eyes, they are too buggy right now.
I changed the slimy, indistinct looking stuff in the middle of the base, removed the little tiny scales near his shoulder, and a few other minor things. One more version, and he’ll be done. I couldn’t decide whether to leave or remove the ventral fins, so I left them. In this pic the ventral fin is painted the base’s color.Oooh.. I wish the details on the Hyppocampus could stay! I love them.

Well, no I don’t know. The sculpture is nearly finished, but I am waiting for horns to be figured out. We were going to change the pewter horn-tangs and sockets so the horns can be glued in easily. Right now we do a lot of fiddling around with them to get em straight.

So, so, so, so excited for the oriental still (though I get wanting to make the horn placement easier, but I can hardly wait!) I am definitely looking forward to the hippocampus too, though, it is flipping adorable!

Wow, it looks so cool! I love the details on the rock and the tail! I am usually super nervous to try painting anything but this makes me want to paint again!
Just curious if anything else is being painted right now or if another grab bag will come out again in he next month or so like say more fantasy baby unicorns? I know a bunch of us would love those again as a change from pebbles! I also still need a copper patina baby dragon!
