Absolutely love the fancy one that looks like stained glass on the paint scheme. Tempted to go for the fancy’s but with my luck at GB’s I’m certain that I’d get a leafy one.

Thanks so much for posting the pics, Etruscan, certain I speak for everyone else that doesn’t have Facebook also.
The sculpt carries both fancy and plain schemes well, but i’d rather wait until there are some natural looking ones. They are beautiful though!

Edit to add a thought… imagine if Ms. Melody sculpted an actual mantis shrimp, how cool would that be!

You all are welcome. I signed up for Facebook just so I could see Melody’s page and any photos that she posted there. Nothing about friends and relations, or children and grandchildren. How sad is that?

Most of the fancy ones have a leaf-like pattern.

Im thinking also one per person between the 2 batches. I know I would love one of each, but Im worried they are going to go fast. Therefor Id rather get one at least, instead of none 😉

Ohhh… and the fantasy ones are gorgoeus ! That one with the tortoise shell back…. *grabby hands* ! But I do love the plain ones also !

              #932292

If there’s two batches I definitely think it should be one PER batch, not one between batches.

So would these maybe be out next week? I just love the turtle shell one and the octopus, and the stained glass and the cougar and all of them lol.

After further study … I’m almost certain that the “Plain” tanuki photos show the same group from two different angles. Maybe there is another batch of Plain tanukis that hasn’t been photographed yet?

Yews there3 is another batch on my painting wheel that isn’t finished. There are still more fancy ones than plain ones though. i just checked and this is it for this batch of castings. About 125 total, two rejects, 65 fancy, 6 mantis shrimp, and the rest plain.

only 6 mantis shrimp??? *kicks dirt around, then goes off to pout in a corner somewhere*

LOL! Just joshin! Seems like the batches of fancy and beautifully plain, are close to being even in numbers…No matter how you do it, 125 will sell out within the first hour…I think if there are 2 batches, and one sells out quicker than the other, people will have wasted time, going back, to try and put one from the other batch in their cart, and could lose out all together…especially with the way the site crashes when GBs are released. I would like to change my answer…

1 batch, 1 per customer. …. If separating the batches and doing 1 per customer doesn’t work

You start getting into 2 separate batches, 1 per customer per batch…a lot of people miss out.

Thanks, Melody. Yes, in looking over the photos, it does seem that more than half are leaf patterns, but some are gorgeous. And, the ones without leaf patterns are some of my most favorites.

I’ll wait until the livestream to decide, but I think that’ll push me into the plain group. But…who knows.

What is a livestream and how does that work?

Windstone sets up a camera and gives us a link so we can view pieces being displayed one at a time. You click the link and if it is working properly you can view the Windstones and exchange comments on them (during the livestream itself).

BiPolar Bear holds up each piece and then we all drool and ooh and ahhh over our favorites. Much fun

Yeah, don’t forget we get to online ‘Chat’ with everyone, and BiPolar Bear seems to get a kick out of what we sometimes write and he comments or answers us during the LiveStream…. I think that’s the most fun 🙂

Can’t wait to see if there will be one!
