Did you guys spot the cougar (tiger) on the right hand side of the last tanuki photo? Yum!

Love baby kirins, safari poads, mini keepers, and anything BLUE, BLUE, and, oh yes, BLUE.

That is a feathered tiger cougar. We embrace gmos around here.

Wow, lovely tanukis! I would also love to know approximately when these are coming out! As for the grab bag cougars I would really love safari patterns in natural colours without extra ornate details. I would love to see leopards, snow leopards, black panthers, tigers, white tigers, giraffes, zebras or black sparkle ones as long as they don’t have feathers or other hybrid details. Those are great for ebay but no necessary for a grab bag I think. I wouldn’t mind safari cats in multi colours too like a rainbow tiger or leopard or maybe some pink, purple, teal or blue coloured ones.

Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!

The pure safari or pure fantasy types appeal to me more, too.

Wow! Beautiful tanukis. I think I also prefer the safari’s. I’m not a big fan of the leaf pattern

I have been informed that apparently ‘black panther’ is not a politically correct term to use, although I was referring to any type of black wild cat. But I had more of a black cougar type pattern in mind when I said that.

                  Politically correct term? *Brain breaks*
Isn’t that the best way to describe a large black cat of the panther type? Several large cats are ‘panthers’ so to generalize, instead of saying ‘black leopard, and black jaguar, black tigers and whatever else can be black’ it seems smart to say ‘black panther’ … *shrugs*

                    Thanks for correcting that, Kim.

For those on the forum who like big cats, here’s a link to an awesome rescue organization. Big Cat Rescue is in Florida and does incredible work with the cats and educates the public, too.

                    http://bigcatrescue.org/black-panthers/

“Since the 1960’s it has been considered politically incorrect to call a black cat a black panther. The big black cats are black leopards or black jaguars and are not referred to as black panthers. . .”

Agreed, “black panther” is a completely reasonable term to use when describing the melanistic type of certain big cats.

I think those are the ones that Melody called “Mantis Shrimp”.

I think I like the leafy ones more than the mantis shrimp ones. The shrimp ones are almost too crazy for me. But the leaf patterns in green, blue, or even the brown shades look awesome!
