I went back a few pages but didn’t find any of these guys.
I know someone pointed out one of these before, but here’s a set. There’s a few other single ones floating around in the Dragon Statues category on ebay. What was the verdict on these? They don’t look much like Windstones to me but I was curious.

The poses seem somewhat derivative of Melody’s sculpts, but that’s a more gray area. What really gets me is that their color schemes are pretty much exactly Melody’s Peacock color. They even have the gold highlights. And there are a lot of them on ebay, from different sellers.

The first ones I suspect aren’t a problem, but the final decision is made by the folks at Windstone.
The second group are indeed a problem according to John and it’s been an ongoing process. I don’t know if any headway has been made.Volunteer mod- I'm here to help! Email me for the best response: nambroth at gmail.com
My art: featherdust.comDecember 28, 2010 at 1:17 am #708890I thought this was a little odd & my apologies if this has already been mentioned or addressed… I tried to determine whether someone had called this out on the forums & couldn’t find anything.
I haven’t notified anyone yet but there is a strange hatching brown pegasus for sale currently on ebay. Someone even questioned the seller and the seller’s response was: “A: Hello Thanks for your interest, I do not know as thats how I got it at an auction in a box that had other small figurines. My husband said it appears to have never been painted but as far as being stained he dont know This is our first one we have ever had and donot have anything to compare it too. Hope this helps D “
I just thought it was a little odd.
December 28, 2010 at 2:15 am #708891How very odd! A repaint maybe? Just really dirty? Fire victim?
December 28, 2010 at 2:41 am #708892That is odd… I don’t/can’t see the pinions(?) un-fledged part of the wing. Could it possibly have broken and then been repaired and repainted?
twindragonsmum 😕

December 28, 2010 at 6:54 am #708893“unfledged” part?
December 28, 2010 at 7:21 am #708894It looks to me like the original owner just painted it to be a brown color and this person selling it just doesn’t know much about windstones
December 28, 2010 at 6:16 pm #708895I think twindragonsmum is referring to the little gaps between the pinfeather sheaths on the wing.
From the photos my guess would be a repaint, too.

My art: featherdust.comDecember 28, 2010 at 8:13 pm #708896Hmmm…
It looks dirty to me, like it has a thick layer of staining. Possibly residue from a fire?December 28, 2010 at 9:01 pm #708897Just found these guys http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/203982410/abc.html?edm_src=clc_ifm&edm_type=cldr_as&edm_grp=buyerv2&edm_cta=pdt&edm_time=jan11
I know the pose is a little off but the chest scales look just like the male dragon & they even have a stone set in the head.Oh & e-mail was sent to John 🙂

December 29, 2010 at 5:57 am #708899Ok, regarding the 3-headed hatching dragon on craiglist I had posted on page 32, I finally sent the info to John.
I was intrigued to know, though… Pam, you posted that the factory has some of those figurines there! Does this mean John already knows about it, or…. well, like double rainbows, What does it mean?!? 😀
anyway, I hope it helps to keep Windstones as unique as they deserve to be!
December 29, 2010 at 7:41 am #708900I cant remember if we have the three headed one but we do have some others from the same “company”.

Augh! Thanks for sending it to John. It looks like someone pulled a mold off of a male and/or scratching dragon, re-sculpted parts such as the head and arms. >_<

My art: featherdust.comDecember 29, 2010 at 9:40 pm #708902about the hatching pegasus-I was watching that auction too (dont have a hatching peg yet and wanted it, darn it lol) I thought it was once kept in the home of a person who smoked heavily. I got that impression by the line in the auction where the seller said, “the egg is no longer white” or something like that. That, and the bottom looks a little chipped up or damaged-it doesn’t have the nice clean lines that mint condition (or even great condition) hatching pegs do.
