John did mention to me that he might purchase it…he is waiting on my news about what the seller will answer me.
June 14, 2008 at 3:44 pm #708424I just got a responce to my question (if there was the name PENA on the dragon’s tail) and this is what the seller responded:
“Hi there, no PENA on it, will try to send a picture in next day or so.”
So then it’s definitly a fake!
June 14, 2008 at 4:22 pm #708425I am glad that I found it then! My hubby was the one who actually saw it and he thought that it was a repaint. But his eyes looked funny to me. *pats self on back* 😆 Good job team! 😀
June 14, 2008 at 4:54 pm #708426Congrats kenziesmommy! Your hubby has a good eye.
June 14, 2008 at 5:25 pm #708427Is it me, or did the guy look like he’s made out of plastic????????
He really doesn’t look right at all.
June 14, 2008 at 5:28 pm #708428In his auction he also said he got it years ago from a craft seller. Might be hard to trace now. 🙁
June 14, 2008 at 6:22 pm #708429I think he is made from some type of plaster from a mould
June 15, 2008 at 3:58 pm #708430Hi guys!
Please do NOT bid* on pieces that we know are fake or that John might need to buy! If John wants to peruse it legally then he must be the one to purchase the item.
That said, often on eBay items are being sold second-hand; that is to say that the sellers are probably quite innocent and don’t know they have a fake, and are just selling some pieces from their collection (e.g. someone bought a fake Windstone, not knowing what it was or that it was a fake, and then some time later decide to sell it).
* – It is a free market and no one can prevent you from bidding, and further no one is trying to create unfair competition for either buyers or sellers, but it would help Windstone a lot if there is ever a seller intentionally selling fakes!!

June 18, 2008 at 2:31 am #708433I wasn’t bidding on it but do you think it is a fake a re-paint or what? Some parts of him look funny.

John already knew about it and he did bid on it but got outbid…it is most definitly a fake since the name ‘PENA’ is nowhere on him.June 18, 2008 at 2:50 am #708436darjeb wrote:Don’t you think this dragon looks familiar. Thank you!June 18, 2008 at 3:01 am #708437Does anybody think this is close enough to be considered a knock-off? And YIKES the guy has 99 of them available.
