What is it with my Windstones this year? π³ π‘
I can’t do anything right now, but I was showing someone my old green young, tripped and DROPPED him! π― π³ Fortunately he was still in his bubblewrap, so the damage is relatively minor (chipped top of neck pretty much). Couldn’t find any of the chips in the wrap though sigh. Absolutely no hurry, it will probably be a few months before I could even send him off, but can he come over sometime?

Oh dear, Pip! Is the same one I repaired once already??
Yes, send him over, I’ll fix him…but from now on, take the whole box, sit down, then open it and take out the Windstone…you are hereby forbidden to walk with one in your hands. π
Oh, and the Rainbow Male and Rainbow Fledgling are both officially repaired and ready to go home.

No, this guy is the replacement for the one my daughter knocked off and shattered last fall. That was the start of my run of bad Windstone luck, hopefully this is the end of it. π³ π In the meanwhile, they’re officially on my ‘can’t-touch’ list- I unpacked one for a photo this morning, but she’s already packed back up, and my birthday PYO didn’t feel tacky anymore so I packed him up and away also. Guess it’s amazing he managed to survive being painted by me!I don’t have the extra to send him off right away, so I’ll let you know when I can, and we can work out the details. *hug*

No worries, I have a lot to do still.

Wait until you see the young when she is done. (the young’s before photo is in the thread “Help Me Kyrin”. That will be amazing when she is finished! π
May 19, 2008 at 8:56 pm #686783Mmloda’s Emperor arrived today, he’s safe and not broken any worse than he was already. He’s so pretty, I don’t think I’ve seen another old green like him.

May 24, 2008 at 5:18 am #686784Repairs in progress or complete this week…
Laphon’s dragon is filled in, details to be carved in possibly tomorrow…then repaint, though I may wait until the factory paints come in before I do that, though I am pretty good at matching the old greens.
I’ve fiddle with the Peacock Kinglet, and his egg is repaired, and base coated with some paint, it’s now just waiting for factory egg paint to finish him up, but the defects are fixed.
Zym’s dragons will likely be done this weekend as well, since they only have minor issues.
One of 2huberts 4 unicorns is fully repaired, 3 to go, plus a White Scratcher has been added to the pile.
I think it was Stephanie who bought the badly damaged Frog Prince, he arrived today.
I will be working on the Old Warrior a bit this weekend as well, I hope.
Basically the reason they are kinda scattered in their order is as I mix up AS, I grab the piece that whatever is left from the one in line I am doing that the AS can be used up in. Sometimes that is a tiny bit, and sometimes it will fill I pretty good sized hole, or cover several pieces. So I’ve been more or less partially repairing more than one piece while I primarily concentrate on the one next in line.
so this means I should end up with about 3 or four repairs all getting finished up at the same time as I finish the detail resculpting and move to repainting.
I’m getting there…I promise!

Aint nuthin she can’t fix
She knows all the tricks
Our thanks – where to begin .May 24, 2008 at 12:59 pm #686786And Wolfens Spectral too! π

I haven’t forgotten him, he’s still in his box ATM…I will take him out today so I can slap AS on him next time I have some mixed up.
I have 12 or 15 things here right now, and I keep forgetting what is next…I’ll make sure the Spectral is in sight this weekend so he’ll get done in line.
I have a master list written down in MSWord…I’ll make sure I get things done in so form of order.
Part of the problem is that there is so much here to work on, I get easily distracted…it was hard to put Mmloda’s Emp back in the box and not start assembling his little bits when he showed up…I was like…oooh, new puzzle! No he’s not next..put him back. π π
I’m easily distracted these days and I tend to just grab the next sculpture I see nearby, and since they don’t all fit safely on my desk, some of the ones who are next aren’t nearby. I have most of the bigger sculpts either still in their boxes, or in my curio cabinet so the kids can’t mess with them.
With an active 2 year old, and a 6 year old who “likes to help” the safety of your treasures is very important to me.
And Sapphire, I love the poem…I need to make that my sig line.

May 24, 2008 at 2:46 pm #686788OMG! I just have to drop in to this thread occassionally to say YOU ARE AMAZING Kyrin! It’s so cool that we have a doctor in the house π
I always thought I would fix my browns myself, but I’m thinking I’ll need to ship ’em off someday. Hopefully I never have anything that’s worse than a chip or two, but it’s nice to know you’re there if anything happens.Anyway, yay you!
May 24, 2008 at 3:25 pm #686789π³ My work’s been published – I’m famous π
