Any word on whether we can use windstone eyes?

Not yet. 🙂 I’ll post as soon as I know!

    Ok thank you!

We have official approval to use the photos of eyes from the store. 🙂

Remember, entries must be sent by 10 am on 9/10 (that’s this coming MONDAY)!

To clarify since I have seen some confusion on this – if you are submitting a traditional media submission, you just need to get it post marked by 9/10. As long as your entry reaches Windstone by 9/19 and is post marked 9/10 you’ll be included. 🙂

🙂 We wanted to make sure both sets of entrants had the same amount of time to create their entries so we did put in mailing time after the submission deadline. I’m sorry this wasn’t clearer!

I finally decided on a design I like, having a lot of trouble painting it the way I want it to look though. Still have a few days… 😛

I just submitted mine and all I can say is wow, has it ever been a learning experience. I started with one idea in my head, and by the time I was done painting, it was completely different! 😛

I must have gone through 4 different ideas while painting. I find it so interesting to see how some ideas that worked in my head just didn’t work when actually applied, and others popped up spontaneously that did.

I can hardly wait to see what the other creative and talented people here came up with. 🙂

I’m starting today! Buhahaha! Procrastinator?? Noooo! Though I do have a somewhat legit reason to miss a large portion of the time to work on this.. stupid men being stupid!

              IMPORTANT!

Only one of the traditional media entries so far had a forum name on it! 🙂

If you submitted a traditional media entry, please send Ayonah an email with your REAL name AND your forum name and I will match these up. (ayonah @ windstoneeditions . com).

If you haven’t sent your traditional media entry in yet, please make sure your forum name is on it somewhere!

              Thanks!

I sent mine digitally and haven’t got a confirmation email? Just want to double check that it went through 🙂

That tends to be the way with PYOs too in general…

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I have a few different color-version I was playing with, but I just can´t decide which one to take >_<
                    Not much time left.

Ok ths question probably comes waaay too late, but are we allowed to add structures/textures when using photoshop (to simulate gold for example) or really only the brush tool? Because it says in the terms “Not alter image beyond applying color”…

(edit) I think I just found the answer 🙂
It also says “The Entrant must have secured all rights to the images, textures, filters, etc which appear in the Entry Coloring Sheet.” So I think Textures are ok as long as they are mine.

You can use textures (I don’t know what a structure is). Really, the quoted instruction is to keep people from adding/removing scales/lines/etc. Due to copyright, you can’t alter Melody’s image, but adding textures/etc that do not alter the underlying image (or obscure it) is okay.

Just make sure any texture you create is clearly intended to imitate paint on a sculpture as paintability is one of the judging points.
