Man, I’ve really missed being a part of these swaps (and painting PYOs in general) for the past few years while I got my Master’s Degree. These have all turned out beautifully so far. I really love all the foo dogs!
July 7, 2014 at 5:57 pm #915289Have to say that there were many great paint jobs on this swap! Enjoyed every one of them.
July 7, 2014 at 6:05 pm #915291He was hard to photograph; the best way I was able to make the gold show at its best (and it’s still not great) was on white background.
I’m really glad you like him – you had stated bold colors, but that can mean so many different things!
What a handsome Foo! Is that gold dry brushed on? Very nice work!

You’ve been feeling really sick lately though, right? I’m sure everyone understands if you need to take your time. 🙂
July 9, 2014 at 3:11 am #915351Late on getting this done, but work has kept me busy and I’ve been tired due to not sleeping lately. *blech* Sorry for the delay! I was going to update my post here, but it won’t let me edit the post to add photos.
Here are the photos of the Fossil keeper I painted for Valdata:
I had to retake photos of the lovely Forest dragon I received from Chloe with the DSLR to show off the colors correctly. Here they are:
July 9, 2014 at 11:56 am #915355The fossil look is awesome 🙂 and I love the face on the green keeper!

Some Windstones don’t like changing homes… this one was stubborn about it, but I think its painter will be able to convince it that Bodine’s home is the best place.

Sorry I forgot to get pics of the final finished pieced before shipping it out so if you have anymore to post, I would love to see them! So to explain the orange and black dragon, Leah had requested something with the colours or pattern of a tiger Lilly. I was going to put spots on the wings but my brush was too thick to do little ones so I decided to antique the wings instead. It took me several tries to get the antiquing right as the paint kept coming off but am glad it finally worked! The dragon has little black spots on the chest instead though to resemble a tiger lily. If you can post pics of the front or anymore angles that would be awesome!
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!
