Back to what pipsxlch said about FL property tax. Gov. Crist pushed thru a property tax reduction statewide but didn’t say the cities, counies, etc couldn’t raise other taxes and costs to compensate. Every day in the PBPost you read about some department or group considering an increase – an example is the water dept. Almost every place in se FL is looking to increase water prices. Because of the drout we have been under watering restrictions for months and now the water dept says they are dumping good water because the holding tanks can’t hold it all and they want to increase water costs to make up for what they didn’t sell because of the restrictions.
