This little guy is extremely hard to photograph! He is very coppery, blending to gold then green on his feathers. The outdoor pics wash out some of the copper. But the photo booth makes him look very yellowy for some reason. So, did the best I could on getting pictures of him.
Here is “Forest Fire”
Enjoy!
Outdoors
Indoors
Indoors, was trying to get a better picture of the interference barring on the wings.
Outdoors, tail detail
I finished repairing and painting the oriental I got shortly after christmas. If you want to see, PM me with your email (since he is a repaint and we dont post those 😉 ) He is not for sale though! I wish I had thought to take some pictures before I repaired him. His face had been broken completely off at one point, I had to rebreak and hand sculpt all the missing bits. The tail was broken in three spots and had to be resculpted in places, and the forearm had been busted in two spots and also had to be resculpted. The only thing I didnt even attempt to fix was the cracked finish on one of the horns (I did straighten the horn though).

March 5, 2012 at 8:33 pm #875831Two of them to post so very pic heavy! The kirin is a commission for a forum member who wanted kind of an ocean/atlantis type theme. This is what we came up with! I call him simply “The Atlantean”
The second one is the same color scheme I used on the repaired oriental. It is using a couple of color shifting paints. So depending on the light it looks a molten gold or a pink/violet gold. A couple of different eye options on this one, the slit ones are from DT and also shift color slightly. The second is a metallic turquiose with round pupils from tohickon. This is one of a series I am going to be doing of cheaper than normal color schemes. This paint is not hand mixed and there are no elaborate patterns to paint (like diamondback or rainbow dragons lol), so the time on this is about 10 hours or more less O.o She is also coated in the magic invisable paint to make her all glittery 😉 So here she is ” Golden Dawn”

HUGS and Enjoy!!

March 20, 2012 at 10:11 pm #876992Banshee, the Ba’owl griffin >.< Owl patterning on lots of feathers=loads of work lol. His lion butt is painted in several layers of color, the gray shows best in bright light, the brown and creamy colors show best in indoors lighting. He has touches of purple interference on his wings to give him a dash of color. I think the mating of badger and owl went well over all!
Hope you guys enjoy!
