June 17, 2011 at 6:30 pm #848467Have we ever seen some sort of prototype of the moon dragon?
Yes, it’s the second picture from the right in Sasha’s signature, if you’ll notice, he’s facing the opposite of the sun dragon and his front paws are closer together.
It used to be posted somewhere online but I can’t remember where…

Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!July 8, 2011 at 11:26 pm #850472While the scratcher is forever my official favorite, the orientals (all) will be something I will always want all of it. Or all I can afford to get.
July 9, 2011 at 7:32 pm #850575We will start producing all of the Oriental dragons in bigger numbers when we get the molds re-made.
Our mold maker, Marco, is staring from scratch to remake the way the molds work. The Oriental dragons we have been selling on Ebay were cast from older molds. The rubber in these molds has shrunk enough that the seam line on the belly of the dragon is a big job to clean up. Ones with really bad seam lines aren’t even good for Copper patina! This makes the castings too expensive and scarce to sell as production pieces at the moment.
Marco is working on the Sun and Moon dragon and the Oriental dragon molds.I can never give correct estimates of when things will happen! We keep running into problems with these molds and staring over, but things are progressing!.
July 9, 2011 at 8:54 pm #850583I’m just delighted you haven’t given up on the oriental dragons–even if it’s a long wait, I really anticipate that Moon Dragon! 🙂
July 10, 2011 at 2:09 am #850616Tell Marco to take his time . We can wait . They will be wonderful when they come out . I want the moon and the sun dragons . Thanks Marco .
September 2, 2011 at 1:11 am #855000So since beautiful little oriental youngs are back(huge happy dance), are the mold issues being ironed out or is it just because they are the copper patina dragons?
September 2, 2011 at 5:28 am #855038I think it’s because they are copper patina. 🙂 The horns were a little tight, so I have reason to believe these were made with the older molds (old molds shrink, causing things to fit less well).
I am excited to see moon dragons, too! I’ve never eyeballed one of them before! Or a sun dragon, for that matter. Orientals tend to behave better than the other dragons, so I am extra looking forward to it… haha.
September 2, 2011 at 6:47 am #855043Soooo happy! ^___^ The orientals are my FAVORITE. And I do remember the horror of cleaning up the seam lines in the castings D: I’m curious to see how the new molds will work.
