Here is Gill.The male that did not know what to do.Eggs did not make and today he is mad!I wonder if he is because the eggs died.These turn their stripes black when they are upset

Do you find the tank very difficult to look after? Was it very expensive to set up?

Go to Craigslist.Amber has found multiple big tanks for cheap cheap.She found this one for $30.no setup with it though. Pumps and heaters can cost as much as a second hand tank so search for one with it all.They are out there aplenty.She got another 55g. W/complete setup for $100.Some people will negotiate with you because they just want it gone.You will have to go get it.There is one here now for $150but it has everything including stand. Research a bit on what fish you want first.Some DO NOT get along.Amazon has good deals on food,plants,chemicals.I try not to use those unless need be but you do need a water tester.You may want a small tank first.I think not messing with them too much is important,it is their world and doing this I have good luck.My Angels spawned in less than a week of entering the big tank.

There are many sites to help with advice but mostly use your common sense.

Bodine, your fish and tanks are so beautiful!!
I got a 60 gallon high tank with stand and canopy but no fish yet….
Wish you lived closer to help me set it up.
Like you I luv angel fish, and I wanted some catfish as they are compatable with angels.

Wow, they’re just gorgeous! There’s something so serene about fish; I just love watching them :’)

Boyfriend (casually, I don’t know how serious he is) wants to get something unconventional, like an octopus. But I worry that they’d be too difficult to care for, and that they’d be too smart xD I hear stories about them getting out all the time… I guess that’s what duct tape is for?

Octopus are very intelligent.I think them unscrewing a lid off a jar is pretty impressive.

Jeff and Amber surprised me with a light for the 55.

Oh, absolutely! Many aquariums have stories of them escaping their enclosures to go exploring, or to help themselves to a little late night snack. Supposedly they have the same learning capacity as a five year old. I’ve never read any scholarly articles to back up that claim, but I wouldn’t doubt it!

That’s an absolutely gorgeous tank. I especially like the little dragon decals on the wall behind it! It gives it a very beachy vibe… (Do dragons live on the beach? They do now!)

Talking about Nature’s Beauties and Spring coming…. I’m volunteering at our Block Party booth at the Philadelphia Flower Show this coming Saturday and Sunday (3/10-11)!
