I just needed a break. I have this guy at work who I totally dont get along with, but he works for me, so we have to associate every stinkin day! He does not like working for a woman and it shows in his behavior and attitude. It will reflect on his NCOER if he doesnt straighten up! I need to do some school work, too. I am already a week behind 😳
All good reasons! And I know exactly what you mean about having someone like that report to you — I’ve had a few of those over the years and its a pain in the butt.
Ugg, I know the feeling I am having a problem with one of the guys at my office. I don’t think he respects the ladies and because I’m not the boss/the one signing his paychecks he thinks he doesn’t have to listen to me even though I’ve been there longer and technically my position is over him. We do have a casual work atmosphere as there is only 6 people in the office but I hate the feeling that he doesn’t respect me and won’t listen to me…

(It is fresh on my mind as I had a row with him on Friday after the boss left…not good.)

The only time this guy is nice to me is when he is flirting. I think he is bitter because we have been in the Army the same amount of time and I outrank him. He should get off his butt and do something, but dont take it out on me!

Ugh…that kind of thing can be a real pain. If nothing else works, maybe talk to your boss? Ugh…that kind of thing can be a real pain. If nothing else works, maybe talk to your boss? Maybe he can clarify to this guy the things that you’re in charge of…I’m hoping to do that tomorrow. I hate having to talk to him like that though. My boss does not feel approachable on those things to me. (Could be that I’m a wimp that doesn’t like confrontations too.)

Its too bad that your boss isn’t more supportive…and I don’t like confrontations either, so I can definitely relate. But sometimes there’s no choice. I hope everything goes well when you have your talk tomorrow!

He couild have worked just as hard and gone as far as you have
