Finally done with this guy!




This is Ruby Royalty! The upper part of his body has irregular flake gold glitter on it and the spine scales have a layer of temperature-based color change paint on them. I had originally planned on giving him a nice garnet orb to hold, but it ended up being too big for his mouth so I went with red chalcedony instead.
Most of the body is coated with high-gloss varnish; I put medium-gloss varnish on the fur, belly scales, and nose since it felt more appropriate for them . There is gold paint on the tail but the red overpowers it in the photos.
I’m really, really happy with how this one came out; give or take for some very minor details and the orb it’s almost exactly how I originally planned it to look.
