Oooh he’s looking amazing! Also never would have thought of using pencil on the sculpts. Really great idea.
I personally like gloss finishes. To me, it makes the work really pop. Matte just looks unfinished to me :s
For that particular piece I think satin or matte compliments it.I prefer gloss too,most of the time.

Kujacker – this is the first time I’ve used pencil to draw out shapes on a pyo, unfortunately I don’t know how well it’d work on a sculpt with texture. But it works great on these smooth sushi cats!

Not currently open for PYO commissions.Howdy all! The Sushi cat is still a work in progress, I need to buy a smaller kolinsky brush to work on these tiny flowers, the one I have now is making the process a bit clumsy, but alas I gotta work with what I got until the new brush gets here.
Meanwhile:Â I have a blank Kitsune I haven’t really done anything with yet, so I think I’m going to offer it up as a commission piece, would anyone be interested in that?
For a simple paint scheme(no hairing detail like I’ve done on past Kitsune) the price would be $95 (shipping included unless outside of the US)
For more detailed work(hairing detail or anything else detailed) $120 (again shipping included)

I’m getting closer and closer to finishing the flowers on my Sushi cat! All the flowers need now is the lil stamens. Then there are only a few things left to do on this cat, and she’ll be finished!
My favorite bunch of flowers on her are these ones on the side, for some reason the best parts of a painting or sculpt sometimes end up not being on the show side for me xD
