On the pic with the unicorn, he looks like he’s trying to avoid her horn 😂

For the drake, what size is he expected to be? Or is it too early to say?

I was thinking big dragon size, like the O. Warrior or Lap Dragon

From Melody’s Facebook page, posted today (April 18):

Melody says, “A progress pic of Snerl the Paint-your-own griffin. He’s got a couple clay patches on his sides and beak to fill in some carving mistakes I made, but he’s coming along.”

            Pena_Snerl_WIP_carving-progress_4-18-2022

Judging by the two casts of Ayonah in the background, that sculpt also is making progress. 🙂

No recent “Clay Day” or “Fake Windstone” posts on the “Windstone Editions” Facebook page (someone else is doing most of the posts on that page now), but Melody has been posting drawings on her Facebook page. She says that most of them are from her sketchbook.

Posted on May 2 – Melody says, “Europe Africa and America [European badger, honey badger, American badger]. I have piles of dumb sketches like this.”

These sketches are delightful! Any more thought on a sketchbook? I would love to buy one.

In answer to a question – ” Imaginary Reptanglian creatures. Notice how the feet have pads like a llama’s with nails on front, but they also bear weight on the back dewclaws. New improved feet.”

Well … it has been a while since I posted in this thread! November was “Family Stuff Month” but I now am (very) slowly getting caught up on Facebook things.
Melody recently posted this on her Facebook page and the “Windstone Editions” Facebook page:

“I based the pose of the male dragon on a cat, and that of the mother dragon on the pose a dog takes when he is waiting patiently for a walk. ”

Laps and Scratchers were based off cats and dogs too I believe

                        Got a busted Windstone?

In the spirit of the season – for those who don’t know it exists – a link to the Christmas Card Gallery:

                          Windstone Holiday Cards

And another card design that Melody posted on her deviantArt page.
Melody says, “This is a Christmas card design from Christmasses past. These are hippogriffs, they look like horses but have beaks. Real media, and digital media, using my real hand ( no AI)”

After all of the “not clay sculpture” photos we actually do have a picture of a clay sculpt (with more in the background)! Posted on Melody’s Facebook page on January 11.

Omg, I just saved that one – it’ll make a great background!

They are so cute! I NEED SOME!!!

Worms, listening attentively to a story, or just looking at you, wondering what you are…

                              A cluster of wigglers 😀
