I went to dust my shelves today, and I noticed that my silver kinglet’s jewel was on his nose. 😯 How it got there…I have no idea. It just fell out. It sits on a high shelf, so I know the kids didn’t get ahold of him. πŸ˜• So, now what can I use to get the jewel back on? I thought super glue, but with other things I have used it on that has paint on it, I have had some bad expirences. Not to mention I’d probably glue my finger to the jewel intself since it’s so tiny. So…any advice? πŸ˜€

When my gem fell out of one of my griffins I used some craft/beading cement and got it nestled back in there. It was tricky, but I did it.

Will that hold? Because I know how it holds my daughter’s artwork. LOL (not all that well)

it’s what I use to put the eyes and jewels back in if they come out..

            I haven’t had any problems..

I’m pretty sure Elmer’s white glue has been recommended by Melody herself in another thread. It’s inert and won’t harm either the paint or the crystal. Plus it’s a lot less likely to permanently adhere you to the crystal, or the dragon. πŸ˜‰ I used it on the crystals on my Muse PYO, and it holds them in place nicely.

Hehe, I can vouch for that-having superguled myself to both my first AND second muses. Elmers is much easier πŸ˜†

                Yep, I use Elmers too.

The only time Elmer’s didn’t work for me was when I was re-gluing a PYO Unicorn horn. It held for a while and then started to sag so I had to resort to superglue. Elmer’s has worked for everything else though. πŸ˜‰

White Elmer’s glue works great for gems.

                    Horns are another matter entirely!

I used Elmer’s on one horn that wiggled out and its in there man!!! πŸ˜€ But I also didn’t put a lot in there either, just enough to hold it! Same with a stone that popped out on a PYO dragon. Good stuff! πŸ˜‰

                      Thats my 2 cents!
