I’m hoping that by the end of September, the PYOs will be back in the store. If they aren’t, we’ll delay the ship date.
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU SIGN UP! It’s long, but pretty much exhaustive.
Since it worked so well last time (except for the one goofup which was my fault :oops:), we will use the same format and have a “ship date”, meaning everyone will be mailing their painted piece on this date.
The ship date is November 10.
Prior to this date, so on November 1st, I will send out a message to everyone, asking if the piece is ready. You will need to respond to me, with a picture of your piece, before November 7. If I do not get a response from you by that date, I will consider you out of the swap. In all, that’ll be a full 6 weeks to paint your piece.
Once I do get a response – and herein lies my sneekiness – I will respond to you with the address of the person for whom you painted. That’s right! Once I’ve picked the names out of the hat, at first, I will only be sending you the name and color scheme of your swapee. That way, no one will mail out ahead of time and create confusion.
If people do not respond, I will reshuffle – hence the picture of the piece. I’ll match the existing pieces as best as I can. Hopefully, I won’t need to do it at all.
TO SIGN UP: you need to email me at dragonmedley@myfirehawk.ca. No PMs, please. It will make things much easier to manage. I always send a quick response when I get emails, but I can only do so from home, so if I’m at work or elsewhere, I may not be able to acknowledge receipt right away, so don’t panic – I am not ignoring you 😀
The invitation to participate is open to everyone. Don’t be shy! If Melody signs up, I’ll let you know this time 😀 Now, if Nam decides to join, I’m not sure if I might not make that a surprise… hee hee hee! And maaaaybe I can entice those members who have been oohing and aaahing before to paint one this time. You know, like Star or BDW…
The sign-up is open until September 20. On the 21th, I will be drawing the names and emailing them to you.
Make sure your forum name is the first thing in the subject line.
Example: Dragonmedley – PYO swap/Sign me up/etc.
I can work in alphabetical order like that; much easier to track everyone.I will need the following information:
1. Your full name and address
2. Indicate if you will ship worldwide. We have members in the US, Canada, Switzerland, Finland, Iceland, UK…
3. What you want. For example, colors or theme, the sculpt, if you have a preference. If you want a Muse, indicate it. Otherwise, we’ve agreed that the Muse will not be used. Reminder: the PYO Keepers are out of the race for this swap too.A few more rules to remember:
• You are responsible for buying a blank PYO and mailing it. In return, you will receive a painted piece.
• The person for whom you’re painting will more than likely not be painting for you. This in not an outright trade, but more like a “secret Santa” exchange.
• If you’re shipping outside your country, make the value 10$; otherwise, the person will probably have to pay duties, even if you indicate that the package is a gift.
• We’ll have a big enough group, so I think I’ll be able to accommodate everyone. So, if you’re allergic to painting griffins, tell me. Same if you only want to paint a unicorn. However, don’t ask to have so-and-so paint your piece! This will be totally random. I will refer back to the previous swaps so you won’t be painting for the same person again (if you’ve participated before), but otherwise, what comes out of the hat is it.
• It may be redundant, but make sure you double-box the piece when you send it.
• Don’t forget to sign the felt pad!
• Last but not least, do not post pictures, not even in your gallery, before the person gets the piece. When you receive your piece, please acknowledge it right away in the thread (I’ll create one separately from the sign-up thread). If you can, post pictures. lol. A another artist on DA calls me KoKo and some times KoKopuff. my character Koishii is a furry cat/alien so hence the puff. My sister finds this cute and actually calls me these nicknames in public.

Sending email? What happens if I’m not around before the PYO’s get back in the store and I don’t get one?
(aka since I will probably be in school, I may ask someone to try and get one for me – even if I manage to get one too… can’t have too many PYO’s…)
