Here is Tidal Pool! He was an accident. My sister baught some spray paint to do a single color base coat. Unfortunately it was textured paint. She had to wash him..but some of the paint stayed, making him have a weird type of antiquing. So we decided it would be a good collab-project.
So my sister airbrushed base colors…and it looked really interesting. We decided to go with the tropical water themed colors. I then did all the blending by brush, working with metallic and adding color transitions to the theme. I did the scale details and interference as well. He is just stunning in person, his colors are light, making him stand out in low lighting. He came out with this quality where he just looks so radiant. He has a real citrine in his tail too.
We do not know what to do with him yet. He will be for sale, yes, but weather we sell him on the forum or facebook, sell him to some one that gives a good offer, or on ebay…we are not sure yet. One thing for sure, he’s special. His coloring is not open for commissions, unless we anounce we will be doing so, given his special circumstances.
Tidal Pool is absolutely stunning! I’m not sure how you two can bear to let him go! Terrific collaboration–kudos to you both. 🙂

We actually just decided to keep him 😀 What we are going to do is do a phoenix colab in the black opal coloring koko has 😀
They bumpy bits remind me some of the glass floats I have seen from the beach. They had that same texture in places. Very nice!

For images if you want to control their size just add width=”400″ into the code. The 400 is in pixels. I think about the biggest width the forum will display properly is 700px. You can also use height to control the size of tall pics.
