I’m so sorry to hear that, Em. 🙁 I have been where you are, but I have no advice…I think you know what’s best for you and Katie Boo.

I’m so sorry to hear about Katie Boo *hugs* I know every cat is different, but I truely believe each cat will let you know when they want to keep trying, and when they have had enough. She’ll help you decide what to do.

Katie is mooching granola bar from me, so that seems good to me. It’s more like her old self.

I spoke to the vet this morning, and she said to keep her on the kitten food she seems to like to eat. And give her lots of water. Hopefully she’ll be able to get to the litter box in time.

The only other thing she suggested was the blood pressure test and possible medicine. She also said to bring her back in in three months. So she seems to think she’ll be around that long.

I’m sorry to hear that… maybe try the meds, if they work, then it’s worth it, right?

              We’re here for you though!

She’s not better. She has good days/moments, and she has bad days/moments. She’s not going to get better. She has kidney disease, and she’s going to die. Sorry, but I’m really sensitive about this right now. 😥

*hugs* It’s tough, it sucks, but just use the time you have left with her and spoil her silly. 😀

I’ve been on the ends where you know months in advance, and when you don’t know until the week or so before, and some people say one is better then the other, but they both suck. Just for different reasons. Hang in there, ok? You at least gave her a loving home, and she obviously showed you her appreciation, by being a loving, affectionate cat.

If you don’t mind me asking (or don’t mind talking about it) how did you get Katie? Was she a rescue, sold at a pet store… etc?

Me too. We lost our cat Snickers the same way eight years ago. It was tough to go through but I was never sorry that we had him. There are moments when I still miss him.
