Went to the post office but didn’t realize I needed the receipt for the insurance so I’ll have to wait to the seller contacts me. It’s so frustrating – and I feel so bad for the dragon. But at least her face wasn’t destroyed like Ski’s!

Ugh…you’re about to go through the process…I hope its less painful for you than it was for me. Its still sad, since you wait for it to get there, get all excited when it arrives…and then hear the dreaded rattling of pieces in the box. What a let down 😥

*sighs* I can’t get my money back on the one I just had broken. My cat knocked it over! She’s NEVER knocked over a Windstone before, she totally ignores them. *sighs* I just spent hours putting him together, because he was broken, and then, when he’s finally done, the stupid cat tips him over and I get to start all over again, with more pieces than before!

Well, I talked to my seller last night and she was in tears that the dragon broke. I don’t know why she sold it but she said it was her favorite piece. She is going to send me a copy of the insurance receipt and we will see what the post office says. Now I feel guilty that I called her a moron. Poor little dragon – he will be missed.

Ack! Make sure she sends the ORIGINAL of the insurance reciept. The post office will not accept copies.

Really? My local post office (and don’t get me started on it – there are a couple of nice people there but overall it is a morass of incompetency) told me I could show them a faxed copy. Which I really don’t understand – on the box is the bar code for the insurance which they scan. Shouldn’t all the information be linked to that bar code? If their machine can read it and the info is in the computer than obviously it is not forged and should be accepted as the real thing. Especially since the insurance is bought by the sender and the recepient who is going to have the problem is never going to have the receipt. They need a new system.

The reg says they cant take copies… I read that part myself, however, I am with you on the fact that the blue copy on the box should be sufficient proof that it was insured. I HATE MY PO! (Post Office, Not Parole Officer)

Why not? I have 4 cats and no broken Windstones EVER. I will say they have broken another dragon 3 times but for the most part cats are very wonderful animals. Part fo the broken dragons where where I displayed them

Exactly but that is how they make money. Sell insurance but make it so difficult and confusing to claim it that most people will not want to go thru the hassel so WE get to keep all their money

I think if people have cats they have to keep their Windstones inside display cases like you do… 🙂

I think there was a time when she was surrounded by Windstones and had a temporary attack of insanity… 😆

I have been colleting Windstone for 18 years and finally got my display cases last winter so my kids have grown up around them. Speaking of display cases I’m pissed. I was going to get another one like the 2 I have but Levitz has discontinuted them. I was going to buy the stores display unit but they sold the only one left in their entire inventory last week. I finally got word that my neighbor could help me but I was a week too late. Now I need to find another sort of display case. I really liked these bacause the door slides left and right to open it
