I Finally finished him! I was so afraid I would mess up or ruin him, so I worked on him a little at a time after a couple weeks of working up the courage to start! Here’s how he turned out! I decided to make him super vibrant, instead of in natural, earthy tones. I hope you guys like him! ๐Ÿ™‚

He is completely brush painted. I really need to take pics of him outside to see all the colors, but it’s dark now.
Here’s what he looks like with his Windstone buddies

Thank you so much! I was looking at pictures of peacocks and came across a painting someone had done of a copper and lime green colored peacock, it was so pretty it inspired the colors on this guy!

I really like the color scheme. Did you happen to do this in metallics?
You’re so lucky to get a hold of a phoenix! They really are so beautiful and I really love the way you painted yours.

Thank you!! Yes, I did! All the feathery areas are mostly done in Folk Art brand metallic paint, they’re so thin and blend so easily with a brush.

I agree. Folk art’s metallics are really awesome. I’m using them on a keeper at the moment and they look amazing.
