Heart to Hearth
Her name is Hearth and she was made of stone
to sit outside all on her own
but one day the creator saw her there
and she decided, we must be aware
that such a lovely creature
just as pretty as a picture
should be with one who’s heart beats madly.
To be loved and cherished and not be left sadly
sitting out on the lawn
watching each lonely dawn
wondering with faraway eyes
and wishing for companionship ties.
Oh be still my beating heart
what do my eyes now behold,
there you are sitting on a cart.
For if the truth be told
came a huge smile to this old fart
wishing in the winter cold
to see that perfect work of art
come into my arms for me to hold.
This was written for the Feb, poem post but I got this awesome beauty in December so instead,this is now a very warm heartfelt thank you.Every act matters.No matter how small💞

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.I’m late to the party.I just wanted to say thank you for your kindness to Mimi.I wish you could have seen her face when she opened that box.Sometimes she just sits and holds it admiring that dragon.I have to laugh but it’s a good laugh.She’s after me now to get it it’s own glass case.Anyone know where to find some good,affordable ones? 15″squared.
