If not maybe Windstone can put you at the front of the line for the next grab bag unis? UPS will have to reimburse you, won’t they? Then you would have the funds to buy replacements. There are still spectrals in stock and hopefully they will make more sand fledglings. But it is so unfair that you have to wait to get your dragons and unicorns. I know how exciting it is to know a Windstone box is on the way and to eagerly watch for the brown truck. I’m so sorry that there is a delay in your getting your Windstones. I hope it turns out there has just been some mistake by the company instead of them being stolen. (and if they were stolen I hope karma bites the villains in the buttocks 10 fold!) please let us know what happens!
Yea, there was tracking Hannah. That’s how I found out it was delivered from looking it up online. *shrug* I don’t know how UPS deals with theft. I obviously get packages from them ALL the time so it’s not as if they don’t know me. I don’t know why they left the boxes by the “side door” like it says online. If that’s the case they were facing the street so who knows what could have happened. I have a fenced in yard with another door and and indoor porch where they usually leave them. UPS called me today and the driver is supposed to swing by to talk to me. We’ll see what happens. Windstone is trying their very best to get things resolved for me even though it’s none of their faults. Thanks ddvm ^_^ I hope I can get the Windstones more so then reimbursement.

Maybe it would be helpful if you put a sign at the side door saying “Please leave all deliveries at the front door” or something like that so it doesn’t happen again.
Artemesia is such a lovely name, and those red gems just jump out against her darker spots. Melody really went all out on these grab bag unicorns, I just adore them. :bigsmile:
Drag0n – ugh. I’m so sorry that you have to deal with that! That is very strange that they would leave a package at the side door when you have a porch on the front of the house, especially if the side door faces the street! I really hope that the driver was new and that the package is still in UPS’s possession.. I know how much you’ve been looking forward to seeing your grab bags!
Off topic a bit, but it reminds me of a time when I was waiting for a package to arrive, I saw that it had been marked as delivered online so I went looking for it and it was nowhere to be found! We also have a side and front door, and I checked both but there was nothing there. Well, later that night I got in my car and started leaving the driveway when I saw that the package had been left right in front of one of the garage doors. Thankfully, it wasn’t the one that I had just used but I was still livid.

I got my two surprise unicorns today. They were from the second batch, the one of 14. I also have one that I bought from skeeterdee a week or so before! 🙂 I took a whole ton of photos. I have just started working again, it’s for midnight shift though, so I’ve been really tired. My mailman usually comes right at 8am so even though it was my day off today I “stayed up” to wait for him. Opening them was so thrilling. I’m not an expressive or enthusiastic person at all, but these guys had me jumping up and down.
Ok, onto some cute photos.
So here is Cyprus. He was from that first big batch of 38. He is a lot more detailed in person, the white is a lot more yellowy and the bay spots are shaded and really pretty. He has green crystals. Also the tip of his tail is white, which I thought was adorable.
This is the first unicorn I opened today. He is soo soooooo pretty! Bay blanket appaloosa named “Adagio”, and he has white crystals. I love how melody paints the spots, they are all under the bay part of the coat too. AND his tail has stripes in it! And his ears are white!
This one was the last one I opened. She is a liver chesnut frame overo- get this- with purple eyes! Her name is Wisteria, which is fitting with the lavender crystals and eyes. I was so thrilled, I love wisteria and “Wysteria” is my favourite g3 my little pony as well. Also I’ve been intending to paint a chestnut frame overo for a long time, so they’ve been on my mind. This one is so pretty. The hair is a bit lighter than the coat, her front feet have socks, and she has a spot of pink on her nose too.Now for some other photos…

And all my equines together on their shelf.All week I was thinking about these guys, which ones I would like, all the possibilities. I wanted to get different ones, I already had a bay, and a chesnut (the baby) so was hoping for a grey and a yellow one (like a palomino) but the two I got are so much better.
I hope to see more photos from others as the new batches come in 🙂
Wow, how cool that you got one with lavender eyes!! I think Melody should definitely start putting more “unnatural” colored eyes in the grab bags like this – it looks great! Congrats Scenceable 😀
