I appreciate the attempt =) I’ll do so.
January 15, 2012 at 4:19 pm #869213Darn! Just missed a Magma Dragon egg! 😐
January 15, 2012 at 5:22 pm #869218I missed a silver or gold last night…I feel your pain…
January 15, 2012 at 6:09 pm #869221And I have yet to get a single egg out of my CB Nebulas!!!
No luck with my first breeding attempt with my Silver either, however, I did get my second Bronze Tinsel egg out of the same pair, so I’ll be happy to offer one up here the next time they’re breedable 🙂
January 16, 2012 at 2:37 am #869293Kiya…I sent you a PM…about a certain egg…you have been waiting for … 🙂
Also…LIH, can I bug you for a low gen pink egg if you have one? I LOVE their sprites! I would love one from First Daughter CB, and Second Son…if its possible…
Or anyone else who has breedable good lined pinks…
January 16, 2012 at 3:26 am #869299Yeah!!! I just hit 200 >.<
I have some CB pinks I can try to breed if you want River, just let me know.

I’ll be happy to breed you one. But it will have to wait a week because I bred all my pinks for trades owed. 🙂
I’ll PM you about lineages.
January 16, 2012 at 3:38 am #869302forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what effect do lineages have? I’m just curious, i’m still rather new to dragoncave and I wasn’t sure if there was a actual effect from having pure bred parents.
January 16, 2012 at 3:42 am #869304Nothing, they all turn out to be little pixel dragons! But some folks like to collect lineages, or start neat breeding lines. In general the lower the generation and cleaner the bloodlines the better! But it makes no real difference.

It’s not a dumb question at all 😉
And the truth is, it doesn’t change anything. An offspring can only turn out as either immediate parent’s breed. (Edit 2: Except for the breedable-only eggs like the Shallow Water dragons)
It’s just a matter of preference. I come from a background of horse breeding so I find playing with lineages and trying out for specific patterns to be a lot of fun. 🙂
Edit: Opal beat me to it!
January 16, 2012 at 3:49 am #869306Thanks! I thought so, I’ve been reading the Wiki for guidance on this, but I wasn’t certain since there was talk about pure bred lineages here. I appreciate you clearing it up for me. =) my current plan is to get one of each of the ones I like and then work on getting more of each type.
Also, is there a ratio for males to females? i’ve had almost all females! Out of 13 dragons, only 4 were male, two of those being Pygmy dragons that I can’t breed with my extra females.
January 16, 2012 at 4:04 am #869313I messaged you both 🙂

It’s supposed to be completely random, but before I got enough pinks to make sure I got what I wanted, I got almost only males.
BTW, does anyone know if the influence BSA is supposed to work all the time? Because I had a hatchling gender as female when I was sure I had influenced it to be male…
January 16, 2012 at 4:37 am #869323Thanks! I guess I’ve just been getting unlucky. HOpefully the new batch of hatchlings come up with a few males =)
January 16, 2012 at 5:26 am #869326Influencing doesn’t ensure that you will get what you want. It just gives you a very good chance of it.
