Hee hee…I already have a group of them taking over my PYO shelf! 😯 I highly doubt I’ll be molesting them, they may sneak up on me in a group in my sleep! *GULP* 😯
(Unless I molest a fresh PYO with a paint brush… 😈 😆 😆 )
Wish I had one…I can’t find much to do around here, the place is spotless, and laundry is caught up, and I already have the idea ready for Barrdwing’s Griffin…Guess I could mix paints tomorrow…Hope I can reject the reject paints this time. 😆 (Tax check should be here soon!)(I jsut wish my swape for the big swap would get theirs…I am getting really paranoid! 🙁 )
If you asked the griffin I’ve started for you, WSC, it might just claim that it’s being abused! 😆 It’s in the Horribly Ugly Early Stages of basecoating, and the colors look all raw and awful. I’m still feeling my way through what’s going to go where, too, so to add insult to injury there are random unpainted patches. The poor thing is very indignant about all this. 😉 It doesn’t help to have Autumn giggling at it from the shelf and whispering horror stories from his own painting. 😛

I can’t even begin to imagine what torture your’s is gonna go through…I’ll be ordering next week towards the end of it most likely. So it gives me time to fine tune paint, and get to Blick if needed for more colors. (But I think I can jsut mix my own with what I have. 😈 ) Infact, I plan to start on mixing here in a little bit when I am done on here. 😀

I admit, though, that I wouldn’t want to photograph the griffin at this end until he gets a little more organized. At the moment he looks thoroughly dreadful, the paint equivalent of major bed-head and morning mouth. 😉
Here is my next guy…This is the “Fired Metal” Ki-Rin. He is for Kujacker.
I was frustrated with mixing something deep Crimson 😡 (Only because I have a real issue with getting my reds to be RED), but I think he turned out very nicely. 😀
(I really wanted to make his horn silver, but I am scared to try to remove it to dip it in the leaf, and I didn’t want it streaked silver. 😯 )
He is Black metallic, antique silver metallic, and crimson red with interference mixed into his red. Mostly everything but the basecoat was dry-brushed on. I love dry-brushing these Ki-Rin, but I also love to add details like Calypso had. (I have plans for a “Cotton Candy” Ki-Rin also. Yes, pink, my first pink one…*gulp*)How strange: he’s got grey eyes 😀 (hee, hee)
He’s a beauty! Very bold and strong.
