Thank you! π I got the nicest PM from her saying how much she liked her. π
I am 2/3 of the way through Duma Key too. Let me tell you, it’s a odd one, but so very good! (It is also a very good stand for picture taking! π π )
June 8, 2008 at 7:25 pm #639723oh wow! she is very beautiful!

I really liked Duma Key. I’m glad he’s back to writing like his older style books.
Edit: Forgot to say that I think Jewel is spectacular!!!
June 8, 2008 at 8:01 pm #639725I love Jewel! Stunningly gorgeous!!
June 8, 2008 at 8:26 pm #639726I’m really happy to have her! π She’s currently sitting between two Lap dragons, making both of them jealous with her spectacular colors. π Thank you so much, WSC!
June 8, 2008 at 8:36 pm #639727I love how you got all of those colors to work so well together. Absolutely stunning paint job!
June 8, 2008 at 9:51 pm #639728Amazing! I can’t wait to see Hawk finished!!! π
June 8, 2008 at 10:54 pm #639729WindstoneCollector, my mouth dropped open when I saw that griffin. She is gorgeous!!!!!!!! Barrdwing, no wonder your Laps are looking at her so jealously. She’s flamboyant in her finery! π The wing detail is beautiful, the color scheme reminds me of a peacock, and the lion part is simple enough to balance the eagle part! She reminds me of a lion and a peacock! What a wonderful job you did painting her! I love it!
June 8, 2008 at 11:25 pm #639730Wow! She looks awesome! The jewel tones together are just yummy. I think she came together quite nicely! The antiquing really brought out the definition in the feather work too. Nice job! π
June 8, 2008 at 11:47 pm #639731WOW!!! That is one BREATHTAKING GRIFFIN!!! What a beauty!

June 20, 2008 at 1:20 pm #639733Ok. I finished “Hawk” #1. Yes, this is the first time I have put a #1 behind a paint scheme, and I do so since I will most likely paint another, but it will NOT be exactly the same, and this one will always be an OOAK because of that fact. π
He is for Serenity.
I did try to antique this one a bit, but I didn’t like it so well, and the belly of the lion part has some spots where it really stuck. π‘ I left it alone though since I was more worried about trying to fix something so petty when I would probably just mess it up and have to start all over. π It gives him a spot of character. π
Here are his pics, and once he dries out all the way (Probably tomorrow. I will bag him up and box him and ship him off! π )
You can see the spots in that one. π
Hope you like him Serenity!!! π (Note the lion butt? π π π π )
Estimated time to completion: 32.75 hours
(Now onto a wolf and a yellow butterfly dragon…I should be able to get ahead since they are playing the waiting game for their PYO’s. π π *phew*)June 20, 2008 at 2:57 pm #639734Wow, he’s amazing! You do such beautiful work.
June 20, 2008 at 3:17 pm #639735Fantastic, WSC! π That’s some spectacular detailing on those feathers. I particularly like the way you did the big flight feathers: the graying is just like a hawk’s flights, and the markings are gorgeous. Great work!
June 20, 2008 at 3:27 pm #639736beautiful! what a LOT of work… but so worth the time! π
