Me too! I’ll be watching like a hawk for pics! π
While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!
June 2, 2008 at 6:25 pm #639681He’s beautiful! The detailing you’ve put on the wings really is convincing; you must have some great hawk reference photos. π The blue eyes are wonderful against the brown and white, and having the paler ring around the eye is a nice touch. Are you planning to toss in a few little blue accents somewhere? (I know, I know: no hawks out there like that. But it’d be fun. π )
June 2, 2008 at 6:41 pm #639682he is looking very pretty! it is going to be interesting to see how he evolves.
June 2, 2008 at 6:44 pm #639683Thanks everyone! π I am glad he is looking like a hawk. π

Hee hee…I figured there are as many different hawks as there are tigers. π
Kep, you’re killing me over here! π π π
Barrdwing: Nope, no colors. Just what God himself gave the hawks. Serenity said hawk and that is what she will get. π (I already tried to talk her into a Griff kinda like yours, although I didn’t try very hard. Hee hee. π ) And actually I am working from 3 different pics of red tailed hawks…Mix and match so to say. π
Koishii, if you only knew how warm and fuzzy any compliment you give makes me feel inside. π³ (It was your video that really helped me figure out how to start. π )
(One day I will learn how to quote all of the people I want to answer in one post…I’m still a n00b in that regard. π π )

He has alot of work to go, but witha little help from watching other’s videos on how to paint, I think I am making headway. I spent about 10 hours sitting and staring at hawk pics and the sculpt trying to figure out where to start. π But, after I got underway, it just came pouring out. So, thank you those of you have the videos out there. π
Does he look hawk-ish? LOL I think he does, but I’m sorta worried still. π³
(Burnt Umber has got to be the best brown color EVER invented! π )WOW he looks AWSOME…I love the way he is turning out… π

Thank you! π I figured since you’re a brown lover you’d stop in for a look-see. π (I am still waiting on the Ki-Rin. But I will let you know when he/she arrives. π )

June 3, 2008 at 2:37 am #639688Oh wow he is gorgeous!
I wish I could paint that good. I also wish I could do a trade with someone but I’m scared to ruin my half so I won’t ask.
