sorry I have been away for a few days with family but I have gotten a key telling me I need to pick something up in a locker at the post office so I should be able to get there tomorrow morning if that part of the post office is closed tonight when I get home. I wish I had brought the key with me last night but no I have to pick it up at home.
I’m sure it must be the cookies so thank you in advanceDecember 29, 2006 at 8:41 am #517161frozendragon wrote:I thought someone just left of the B….but that’s me

December 29, 2006 at 1:30 pm #517162…I dislike my post office. I get things so much later than everyone else so no cookies for me yet, maybe today ?
December 29, 2006 at 5:01 pm #517163My cookies were waiting for my when I arrived home! What a wonderful welcome home from work. Took the dog out, came back in and had tea and cookies. Delicious! My daughter says thank you also. And only two cookies were broken. Thanks very much Nirvanacat.

My SO said thank you too, after he was able to stop saying yummmm… 🙂 He’s highly suspicious of boxes in the mail. He’s sure it going to be another dragon. When he found out that this one contained cookies, he said it was about time the dragons sent cookies instead of more dragons. 😀
ROFLMAO! So glad you two liked them! I think I’ll do this every Christmas! And tell him it’s not the dragons in the mail breeding, it’s the ones in the house…just instead of being delivered by stork, it’s UPS and USPS LoL!

Most welcome! 😀 I’m really glad they turned out all right, this is the first time I’ve made these on my own, and the last time with my mom was like 10 years ago or something. =P

They’ll get there! It’s weird, because stuff from TX gets to CA really quick, while it takes forever the other way…. 🙄 USPS is silly like that…
December 29, 2006 at 6:31 pm #517167Well if it’s anything like the chocolate bars Ski sent out since today is the first day I’ve grumbled about it the USPS gods are likely going to leave me a key in my box to open a door and snag a tin of cookies THIS AFTERNOON! It’s gonna hail today- but I’ll check the mail in bad weather to get some cookies from you 😀

ROFL! Wether rain or shine, we the few shall brave the elements so Cheryl can have her cookies!
December 29, 2006 at 7:16 pm #517169They are very important cookies, after all they are from you! Frozen and Ski are the other benevolent providers of sweets this year- and soon GB with marzipan stuff- never tried it, should be tasty- made with bitter almonds I learned- I think to match my personality 😀

zA bar of chocolate with marzipan in it, Cheryl. If you want actual raw marzipan it-s slightly something else.

SEEE?! And always the optimist! Positive twist on everything!
January 3, 2007 at 12:32 pm #517174I GOT MINE!!!! Thanks Nirvana! But I must say, I would not have been offended to not get any cookies, considering shipping cost 3 times as much as they did…
I just got back from work, opened the box and passed it around. Genuine quotes:
Tom aka The Kid, age 7: “These are the best cookies I’ve ever tasted.”
Stef, who used to be the biggest cookie-baker in the house: “Hey, they’re soft! Yum!”
And Florian, who constantly criticizes Stef’s baking skills and finishes the batter and three-quarters of the tins: “See, Stef? These are real chocolate chip cookies! They’re soft and got lots of big chocolate chunks in them. See?”
And further, but you get the idea. 😀 -
