My back luck with cat’s health, that is…
Claire Marie was brought into the vet this morning to have her teeth cleaned because she is losing weight and I knew she had gingivitis, so I thought it might help.
Well, the vet called me after I dropped her off… he found a lump in her abdomen, so we are putting off the teeth cleaning and checking into the lump. He said it seems pretty positive because he can move it around and isolate it. Hopefully he can just remove it, and she’ll be okay. He’s going to do some x-rays to try to figure out what it is and get back to me. In the meantime, I have to teach my classes. Urgh!
I just can’t lose another cat. I just can’t. I think it would break me.
Well… damn. I’ll keep my fingers, toes, and whatever else crossed for you. I’ll be praying for good news!
Hopefully it’s just benign, and it can be removed easily (or it’s like the one my dog had, which was a fat lump and didn’t need to be removed at all, but Claire isn’t overweight). *hugs*
The vet called me, and he thinks it is in her spleen. He’s going to do a little exploratory surgery and remove it if it looks like it is isolated. He will let me know this afternoon. And it looks like she’ll be staying there overnight, but they said I could visit her after surgery.
