I was suuuper stressed (and thats part of the reason I disappeared for a while) until my boy’s mom suggested I go to a temp agency or hiring agency. You go, fill out paperwork, and since I was looking for an office job, they tested me on my computer skills. Then THEY look for you a job. Free for you! It was a matter of a week or two. And go to at LEAST two different agencies, so if one cant find you (or KC in this case) a job, then the other can. Tell the agency that you’re willing to work temp. Sometimes a lot of companies will need to fill a position, but dont want to hire just “someone” off the streets. So they will go through an agency. Again, they don’t want to commit to someone they havent met, so they will hire that person on as temp, and sometimes, they will hire you after they see you’re a good worker, an always on time, and always ready to work. But, if they dont like you, or you dont fit the kind of person they’re looking for, its easy for them to say, “Oh, your 3 week assignment is over. Thanks for the work!”
AND,
until you get actually hired on, you’re “hired” at the temp/hiring agency, and you can opt to get health and dental insurance from them. The place I went through. Carlton Staffing, didn’t offer great dental insurance (and I despertely need it. Ive spent possibly more on my teeth than my Windstones in my short 15-10 years of having adult teeth) but it IS something.If you want to PM me, I could even help you look for places close to your house. Just be sure to harass them. Call them every Monday and Friday, and sometimes in between and let them know you’re “calling in avaliable” until they find you a job.
Thanks Wolfen. 😀 I didn’t see this until now (sorry 😳 ). If he doesn’t get this job, I would really apprecite this! I didn’t even know about any of this. I know he has been going to an unemployment office to get their assistance in finding jobs, and we went to a job fair. I will definitely let you know!

I want to wrangle his neck though because he tricked me! He texted me saying “she said she’d call me when something becomes available” So after conversing with him, he had me beiliving that not only did he not get the job, but the interviewer was rushing him out of the interview, and she was being really mean to him. I was really upset about it, so I started to cry while hiding it, but he could tell, so he spilled the beans that he got the job and that he has a drug test and driving test with them on Tuesday. 😀 😀 I did threaten to come after him with a pitchfork, tar, and feathers…. 😈The company he will be working for is called MBM, and it’s a trucking job where he delivers to fast food places like Hardee’s and Arby’s. I am not sure what he delivers though, but I am assuming it’s food.
I am so happy! This job really seems like a good one, and I hope it really fits all of his needs!!Nirvana-Luck Mobile? As in the gas stations? 😆 That must be some good stuff! 😀

I say: if he’s delivering to Harvey’s and Arby’s then chances are it’s stuff that looks like food, but we aren’t sure yet as to it’s actual consistency… and
