Your neighbor did a good job, in my opinion, especially for a first time – sort of what I figure my first try at an air brush would be, if I ever get one. 🙂
Yep, if I ever got to try working with an air brush, I think I’d tell everyone that I was going for the ‘Splatted Rainbow’ look and use Lots of colors! LOL

I will be putting finishing touches on mine and then listing on my etsy. I actually chose really bad peices to start with. I was thinking that smooth would make it easier so she didn’t have to worry about getting cracks, but the paint likes to blow across the surface cause it is so smooth. I have also never airbrush ceramic or anything so smooth, so this was new to me too.

Not so nice a day for me, so that means…scratch board art!
This is an otter I designed and am scratching on a holographic, multi-color-shifting foil surface. The fish scales really shimmer and pop in the light! (this is one that I designed, the board was blank to start)

Last bump on the otter, i swear!
FINALLY DONE!! There are a few spots that I wish I could fix, but alas scratch board doesn’t work that way. I think this is the first time in the history of ever I have done a detailed piece from start to end without working on at least one other thing at some point in the middle. Sorry that my scan is so crappy. Once it is matted and framed, I’ll have photographs of it. This is 5 x 7, WILL be for sale, and has about 25 hours of careful work in it. So, here he is. The fishy otter all done!

I have been wanting to do a tiger for a good while now and then a friend asked me to try her new paints out, so this became a mini commission in exchange for a barely used light pad. There will be more wild lilies in the lower corner of the shirt and the back of the shirt will have a pair eyes when it is done. So ya. This is all I did today. I am sooo happy with it!
