An Alluring Fascination by A. Wier

Part of a benefit auction.Reflections on the piece: When I started this piece, I tried hard to imagine what it would be like to see something for the first time, something I could only imagine. I wanted to purvey this idea of an awestruck moment, that would capture even the wariest of eyes. Something that would create that first-time memory that one never forgets, almost pulling you into the moment. The northern aurora , below the watchful eyes of a wandering leopard seemed like the perfect subject for just that.

We are also working on the website too. We transferred to a different server and now its running much, much faster with a lot less errors on our side. The forms are also working again. They stopped for some reason. Still got a ways to go, but we are getting somewhere. I suppose being sick is good for some things.Really wish I was sculpting though. :p

Waiting for an airbrushing day and mary’s help to finish the sea horse/hippocamp sculpt.
Got a booth at a local event, my first, and am working my but off on prints while everything that can go wrong does… Also making a couple t-shirts for mary and I at the festival, mine will have the above wolf on the back, and my logo, marvin, in the corner on the front.uhhhh…t-shirt image w/ edits:
When my printer wants to cooporate, there will be prints of the wolf available. The files are ready for tests now.

And lately ours has been acting really weird and likes to quit printing half way through or it will give everything a random color layer over (usually pink, grey or yellow) and pink prints jsut dont do wel. o_O getting there….

Email me for current prices! awier(@)weaselsoneasels.comI got up early at 5 am this morning, was in the direct sun from 7 am to 6 pm today, with it being over 102* F from noon on, despite lupus, and migrain, and only sold two prints and post card the entire day. Story made short, I feel really ill from being in the heat and sun, am in the hole over $300 and have a myriad of prints (about 160 to be exact) that need sold as well as like 15 originals.

I have a ton more photos to add across two more albums and I feel like crap….whimper…not to mention, a jerk had to the audacity to stand in my tent, right in front of me, and tell his girlfriend who was about to buy a print, that my work was horrible and that i ” should as my art teacher for a refund” . Grrr… That just p’d me off. I just said im self taught and he glared at me and shuffled out of the tent dragging his girl behind him.
Anyone wanna buy some discounted prints? You can buy them individually, or in pairs for an even bigger discount, and also some folders will have grab bags, where you can get another good discount. Shipping will be a flat $5 to US residents and $10 to canada..blah bla blah… I feel like I wasted 40 hours and all of my energy this past week for nothing… I’ll have more to list.. I guess I’ll update tomorrow when more are listed. You dont have to have facebook to view or order these, just pm me here and We’ll get it done. The images have the info on whats available, how many and what sizes. Folders are sorted by size and price.
Basically once, you put your whole order together, I’ll list your custom listing in our shop and then you can pay for it. We can take paypal, credit or debit, or you can send us a money order, but i wont ship until payment clears. Your choice, seriously thanks for any help you can offer. This is going towards my debt and our printer upgrade. Oh and Mary and I have a special gift pack for any orders over $75, its not amazing, but its as much as we can do! We also have a ton of original work for those interested and are trying to add the rest this week:

aww, thanks prezurian, we apprreciate it. I couldn’t beleve she let him drag her out of there, so was really leaning towards getting on of my originals and was debating towards getting a print too. Would of been my best sale all day. I din’t, but i really wanted to punch the guy.
The kids were all cute as heck though. The cougar was my most popular prints, and accept for the one jerk, all of my was stuff loved by the approx 40 ish poeple and kids that stopped by
Allison J Wier esp cute were the like 10 ish kids that were all like, “did you do that? wow…its amazing, your so good. Can you do more? Wow. I wanna be like you when I grow up. Exp the 6 year old. omg soooooo cute.

We have something called ‘Arts in the Heart’ in Augusta, Ga that lasts for about 3 days and it is NOT enjoyable to browse booths when the temps kick up. Blech! Sympathies that you had to be in that with so little reward for it.
🙂 But it is nice to hear from kids. They aren’t jaded and always give such great reactions. And other than the one jerk it sounds like you got a pretty positive reception from the people who did show up. So at least there’s that. I hope you’re not discouraged. I’m sure it’ll be better next time. At least you got some more exposure too.

Na its just frustrating to know I put that much energy towards something to have it go so bad. With chronic fatigue you kinda have to pick what you want to invest energy in. 😛

The grand opening at Another World’s gaming shop (my boyfreind’s and his roommates) was pretty good and 4 of my prints have sold over the past week as well as some one pre-ordering some larger art prints so I can at least go up to 8 x 10’s. It has been decided that every Tuesday, I’ll be down in the shop painting where others can watch me work and see my progress as an artist. I was down there all week last week and painted three small paintings and started another large 16 x 20 watercolor panel which I hope to finish up this Tuesday if I can. 🙂 I also have a possible tiny commission through the shop. The last (or first, still to be decided) Tues of every month will be Small Commissions Tuesday. People can come in and pay me by the hour for small, on the spot commissions in whatever medium I have brought in that day.
So here are the sneak peaks of the smaller paintings. The first two will be for sale and will have prints available in the near future. The last was a tutorial design on color theory and will not be for sale since it is not my original design, though I am am sure I will continue to dabble with the idea as I develop my own designs.
First up, is “Flight of Colors”. The original is 5″ x 7″ and I am currently doing a larger, similar version on one of my 16″ x 20″ panels in the shop.
The second is “Gentle Impressions”. This one measures roughly 4″ x 6″ and was worked off one of my own photographs as a reference.
