Anyone else see the rock dragon yet?! Drool………that would be one I would want.
Love baby kirins, safari poads, mini keepers, and anything BLUE, BLUE, and, oh yes, BLUE.
January 13, 2016 at 12:07 pm #939735Yep! Love the rock dragon!
January 13, 2016 at 3:42 pm #939752January 13, 2016 at 11:34 pm #939797I LOVE the orange eyes, and the blurple is beautiful, but the orange and grey spots kind of throw me.
I haven’t been able to bid on eBay pieces since before they started scrambling the names, so it doesn’t affect me directly I guess. All the same, I never was offended at people knowing what I won, and knowing who I was bidding against would sometimes affect my bidding- not worth fighting someone deep pocketed, or I knew JoeBlow REALLY REALLY wanted the piece more than I did, whatever. I haven’t ever been curious enough to try and figure out who bidders were once they started scrambling names, and frankly never thought of messaging a winner to see if they wanted to sell- just figured they won it because they wanted it.
I love seeing other people’s collections and pieces, and find it sad that they don’t feel they can show them off. I haven’t posted mine because it hasn’t changed in years, and at this time is packed away. I do still have the photos from the original ‘Show Your Collection’ I can repost, but my collection is embarrassingly tiny for the number of years I’ve had them. I do get sad sometimes at the state of my collection vs. that of some who have been collecting only a few months. That’s the way the pickle squirts though, and it doesn’t truly bother me. I have NO RIGHT to think someone else has ‘too big’ a collection or is snapping up too much of something, to each of us what we like and have the resources for. For some that’s a lot and for some it’s a few, and all of it is good.

4 things I'm looking for:
1. Mother Meerkat
2. production color Sitting Young Oriental dragons to be made in more colors besides VF, Brimstone would be awesome!
3. Female Griffin – Siamese with White
4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male GriffinJanuary 15, 2016 at 2:36 pm #939912That Cosmic Shift fledgling looks to me like a color-shift version of Water Sprite. I love it!
January 15, 2016 at 3:13 pm #939915OH, that fledgie!!!! I already decided to pass on the color shift Cougars and wait for a lady cat in color shift. So I was going to make a go for the rock dragon, but that fledgie! And it might be safe to assume there will be other sculpts in this new color too. Ack! I don’t know what to go for! Guess I’ll try for the rock dragon first and then go from there!
Love baby kirins, safari poads, mini keepers, and anything BLUE, BLUE, and, oh yes, BLUE.
January 15, 2016 at 4:14 pm #939921‘Cosmic Shift’ is a beautiful use of the color shift paint Gina! SO pretty! If it’s been put on some other sculpts they’re going to be something to see.

It is interesting to see who is buying what. I was collecting other things on ebay before they started to hiding the identity of bidders, and it was a lot more fun to be able just to see who won something.
If I remember correctly, ebay started using concealed identities to cut down on off-ebay offers to sell a similar item to a losing bidder, or to buy an item that someone else won (as happened to Chloe). A lot of the “second chance” offers were scams, sad to say.
Ebay is a public venue and I think that the identity of a bidder/buyer is also public (if you can figure it out). On the other hand, sales in the Classifieds here are private and should stay that way unless the buyer chooses to post a photo of something.
Personally I didn’t see the whole thing as negative. And I’m glad someone does, because it helps collectors know what the going rate is (for appraisals and for potential purchasing so we don’t get duped). 🙂 I appreciate when I can get help with something like that because someone is up to date on eBay and other venues.
Congrats to the winners of any/all eBay auctions! I admit I’m envious! LoL But happy for you, too! Those candied dragons look so awesome! Striking!

^This. I don’t particularly like the fledgling/baby sculpts. However, if this scheme shows up on a lap dragon, I plan on selling a kidney. I don’t have any of the big/”new” dragon sculpts and I am loving those colors soooo much.
January 16, 2016 at 4:08 am #939996The “Tiger Rat Snake” Emperor is handsome. It is nice to see another reptile-pattern piece, and I love the striped eyes.

I’d like to throw out some kudos to Laurie, who has been doing the reptile pieces. They are fabulous! They all look very realistically patterned. You know how some patterns just look fakey or off? I don’t get that sense with her pieces. Great job Laurie! And the rat snake pattern? Super cool on the emperor.
